3G dual SIM phone for the European market
Posted by: Maria Mihale in News
I must be sincere and confess that I have never heard about Emgeton before reading about their attempt to release a candybar aimed at the European market. After making a little bit of research, I found that Emgeton is a Czech-based company, very well known for the digital music players they manufacture. But it seems that these guys are involved in the mobile phones story also.

Their brand new mobile phone is called Emgeton Enzo, being a 3G dual SIM phone that is very similar to another phone you all know very well, the Sony Ericsson C902, the main difference consisting of the fact that this one isn’t equipped with an advanced photo camera.
Nevertheless, the Enzo comes with a Qualcomm/Philips chipset that is designed to help you use the two SIM cards you own in the same time and entirely independently one of the other.
When it comes to what the Enzo comes on board, the phone is equipped with the following features: tri band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (900/1800/1900 MHz), HSDPA connectivity (2100 MHz) which can be used only for the first SIM card, a 2.2 inch TFT display with a resolution of 240x320 pixels and 260k colors, a 2 megapixel camera, VGA camera which can be used for video calls, Bluetooth connectivity, MP3 player and video player, email, an internal memory of only 50MB and a microSD card slot for external memory of no more than 4GB.

The 3G dual SIM phone measures 117 x 49 x 16.5 millimeters and weighs approximately 109 grams. Its battery provides up to 5 hours of talk time and approximately 10 days of stand-by time.
The Emgeton Enzo is expected to become available starting the next month (in the Czech Republic), with a retail price of 7,990 CZK (meaning $388).
