Rogers Wireless, which mobile phone connoisseurs recognize it the moment they hear the name as the most important mobile carrier in Canada, have just announced the availability of the Nokia 7510, an UMA phone. This is actually the second handset from the Finnish company to become available via Rogers (the first one was Nokia 5800 XpressMusic).

The device is also known under the name of Nokia 7510 SuperNova in the European countries where it’s currently available and in the United States where is being sold right now by T-Mobile.
The Unlicensed Mobile Access (aka UMA) enabled device is able to give “Canadians seamless access between a cellular and wireless home internet connection”. In addition, the phone is compatible with the Rogers TalkSpot. What you should know about the Nokia 7510 is that whenever the user finds himself outside the home calling zone the phone automatically changes the wireless internet connection with the GSM network.

There are two Xpress-on changeable covers that are included in the box, one in fatal red, the other in storm blue, helping the user personalize the phone the way they like it most. Other features of the UMA phone include: a 2 megapixel caera with flash and video recording capabilities, an OSS browser for an improved browsing experience, 512MB of external memory that are included in the box, but the user has the chance to expand the memory with no more than 8GB with a microSD card,FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth and music player. The phone provides up to 6 hours of talk time or 12 days of stand-by time.
The Nokia 7510 is expected to become available via Rogers Wireless for a price of $49.99 if the customer is willing to sign a contract agreement for three years.
