Posted by: Vlad Balan in Apple

Alright, it’s here. Apple has finally announced the much awaited iPhone. And let me tell you that it looks better than the mock ups we have seen so far. Clubbing the traditional phone, a widescreen iPod and all the internet functions, the Apple iPhone will hit the stores in June 2007 in US. The phone has a huge 3.5″ touchscreen sans buttons, Quad-band network support, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE, 2 megapixel camera and will come in 4GB and 8GB capacities.
The Apple iPhone’s operating system is OS X, embeds Safari browser, Google Maps and Widgets support. Full juice of battery gives 5 hours of talktime or 16 hours of audio playback. US residents can get it on a two year contract from Cingular at a price of $499 (4GB) and $599 (8GB). And regarding the worldwide release, Europe will get it in late 2007 and Asia in 2008.
