After ASUS M50 and M70 notebooks, the world leader of mobile computer solutions announced that the new M536 Smartphone is also using the AuthenTec AES1710 fingerprint reader module to ensure data access security via device locking, folder encryption, password Bank, and a 4-way rocker navigation.
ASUS M536 comes also with AuthenTec’s navigation module, multiple cellular standards support, a full QWERTY keyboard, quad-band GSM, UMTS, HSDPA, GPRS and EDGE connectivities, the Windows Mobile 6 operating system, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a built-in 3MP camera, external VGA camera, e-mail, document viewer, A-GPS compatibility, and sports a 2.4-inch TFT LCD display of 320×320 pixel resolution.
The processor is a TI Omap 2430.
The Smartphone’s memory consists of 256 MB ROM and 128 MB RAM, while the model features also HC MicroSD port and is powered by a 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery.
It will be available starting July at an approximately price of $850.
