AT&T Sony Ericsson W750a

Sony Ericsson w760a is available at AT&T but only in black. This one captures the attention as it is solid constructed and for a flip phone this is a plus. It is also 3G enabled and it has that fun feature “shake to shuffle” where you just shake the phone and it randomly selects a song from the playlist. It is compatible with AT&T Navigator GPS, AT&T Mobile Music and has a 3.2 megapixels camera. In the package you receive a handset, battery, charger, user manual and a quick start guide.

The phone measures 4 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches and weights barely 2.9 ounces. It is an entertainment based phone and with the AT&T you can download video, music, games and more. The GPS can be accessed using the AT&T Navigator to use turn-by-turn directions. You can expand the phone’s memory with the Memory Stick Micro (M2) expansion. The AT&T Sony Ericsson w760a can connect to the AT&T's 3G broadband network and download with a speed of 700 Kbps to 1.7 Mbps.

Even in areas where 3G network is not available you will still benefit from service from AT&T EDGE network which is available in more than 13.000 US cities. Using such high speed you can watch video clips, video messaging and access the internet and even write e-mails while on the road. AT&T Navigator has another feature letting you connect to Yellowpages.com. And what is more using the 3g connectivity you can access CNN, the Weather Channel, iFilm, and content from HBO.

This does not end here; the AT&T Mobile Music lets you buy tracks, access eMusic music services and a nice feature which recognizes a song playing called Music ID song-recognition software. The phone’s web browser loads pages pretty quickly and the AT&T's MEdia Net service alerts you when you receive e-mails, or when you want to read the latest news, get weather broadcasts, download personalizing stuff for your phone such as ringtones, themes, games and so on. The display of this Sony Ericsson w760a is 2.2-inch and supports 26K-colors. The LCD has a 240x320 pixel resolution and below the screen is the navigation buttons including a five-way navigator you can set to access shortcuts.

The center button can be used to play/pause music. When you flip the phone the alpha-numeric keypad shows up. You can expand the memory with up to 4GB. The phonebook can store up to 1000 contacts and for each you can add additional phone numbers, ringtones and pictures. Being part of the Walkman edition it has a full-function audio player. When you listen to music you can choose the MegaBass feature to add a strong touch to your songs. This Sony Ericsson can also be used to play games as it supports features for this option. The accelerometer for example lets you shake the phone for better simulation when you play video games. Let’s not forget about the 3.2 megapixels camera used for both capturing images and record videos. You have four resolution to choose from and settings for brightness and balance. There is the night mode, digital zoom and the multi-shot mode. To sum up, the 930 mAh lithium-polymer battery lasted 3.5 hours in talk time and up to 240 hours in stand by.
