BlackBerry is a very wanted and used tool for those who want both a phone and a system to help them organize their work, meeting, schedules and so on. And being so popular it is even used by Barack Obama himself. And why shouldn’t the busiest and the most important person in the U.S have the most wanted phone? But Barack Obama’s BlackBerry is special as it has a special encryption. It is more of a spy phone and he is one of the lucky owners. He even stated that BlackBerry is one of his loves.

Of course there are security measures taken for Barack Obama’s BlackBerry, government agents and advisers have been taking serious decisions if the president should have this phone while at the office. But because there is a special gadget, encrypted with all the security measures taken, having such a phone is possible and he will be able to use it to make calls, text messages and other usual tasks.



Usually presidents are not allowed to use high-tech communication tools for national security. Foreign powers might intercept and try to “break into the phone”. But the president is allowed to use the BlackBerry just for personal use and not concerning his presidency. So he will be able to announce his wife when he will arrive home, ask for dinner or just how the girls are doing, these issues don’t interact with institutional problems and thus they don’t represent a risk. But once he crosses over to e-mailing, unfortunately he won’t be able to have his beloved BlackBerry. There are just some devices used for top secret government and these include the Sectera Edge, priced at $3350.



Unfortunately Barack Obama is not happy that only ten people are authorized to send e-mails. And he is unhappy because he can’t really express himself over the phone, as the conversations are archived in the White House documents. He laughs a bit when he states that not being able to receive the funny e-mails is no fun at all. And we all know that in order to reach out to us, he must establish a personal connection and knowing what he is listening to, what jokes he like sets a bond between us and him. Being a Blackberry addict however he was happy to be able to keep his phone and still use, even if just for personal calling and messaging. This means no spam for him or other funny e-mails going on worldwide. He will just have to settle with the ones he receives from his girls. And because Barack Obama’s BlackBerry has become spread out news, it increased popularity of BlackBerry phones. If the president uses one, why shouldn’t we?



The only condition for the use is the further keeping of the message and calling history as a proof of non-government use. And it is also understandable, we wouldn’t like someone to crack our phone and have access to our files, music, messages so we must see his point as well. We have to admit though that we like knowing something juicy about the president and the gadgets he uses.
