BenQ T80 gets NFC features

BenQ T80 is the first commercially available NFC mobile from BenQ, and it will be soon followed by the introduction if its features in an entire line of such phones that are to be released in the future.

The phone runs on Windows Mobile, thus under the mild-looking case probably rests a very powerful phone. Its slider can be used for a wide range of applications, such as electronic ticketing and payment for passengers of the Taipei transportation system. It will also feature electronic wallet services and access control for private security systems.

BenQ T80 has been announced back in spring at The Computex 2007 event for a release in the second quarter of this year, but now that the device has been upgraded it will be out on the market sometime until the end of the year.
