Best Business Smartphone
Posted by: CameraPhonesPlaza in Smartphone
Smartphones make a lot of things easier for their users, and when you need to manage some aspects in your life, aspects like: scheduling business meetings and tracking your family schedule, or reading e-mail and surfing the web, you need a smartphone more than a simple cell phone. You have specific business and management needs which need to be cleared, and a smartphone is the proper device for this. Smartphones have changed a lot our way of work, and we are no longer slaves of our desks. We can easily coordinate and plan a business from the warm Bora Bora island beaches, and we can do this just having in our pockets latest technology in communication field: smartphones. This PDA-cell phone combination helps you keep in touch with the office, do your job on the road, read your emails and obtain a lot of information easily.
In order for a businessperson to buy such a device, I think that he or she must take into consideration some key aspects. A good smartphone has to have email support, and as a part of this feature, the mobile phone must have wireless connection option and syncing also. Another requirements for professional smartphones are : to open files with the most well known extensions, like Word, Excel, PDFs and Images, it must have a fast web browser, which offers a high quality browsing, and also reliability in what concerns the network. Also, you should see how easily you can install third party applications, and what is the number of the applications on the market for that smartphone. A very important thing is that the smartphone must have the Cut/Copy/Paste feature.
I missed some aspects from discussion, because they are not absolutely necessary from a business point of view. Cameras and WiFi or GPS are not a must for a business to be managed from distance. Touchscreens are also just nice additions to the basic functions of the smartphones, but they aren't actually an important key for a business person.
I would like to present you which are, in my opinion, the most reliable smartphones, which can significantly help you run your business.

The first is the well known iPhone, produced by Apple. The third generation of this device has been released on 19th June this year, and it brings on the market a lot of improvements for the previous version of iPhone. It has a quicker OS and a better camera. A lot of the new features on this version are available via an upgrade for the OS, and they are free for older users. There is a huge variety of third party applications for this device, and this variety includes the business applications too. It has an intuitive touchscreen, and it supports Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, but the main disadvantages are that AT&T, as the main carrier, wasn't able to offer basic services like voice mail, so we don't take into discussion more complex activities like e-mail and the exorbitant fees. Another disadvantage would be that Microsoft Exchange integration is insecure and I personally didn't like that this phone doesn't have the multitasking ability.

Palm Pre has a small form factor, and works on Sprint, a very good, fast and reliable data network. Its screen is bright (HVGA screen) and also has the touchscreen feature. This device offers possibility of sending and receiving e-mails and the integration with Microsoft Exchange is more secure on Palm Pre than on iPhone. WiFi and 3G connectivity are available, like iPhone has too, but Palm Pre's screen is much smaller, and the tiny keys on the sliding keyboard are not too comfortable and easy to use. There are no third party applications available, because this thing is limited at this time, and it doesn't have Remote Wipe (a security requirement which might prevent adoption on large scale in enterprises).

BlackBerry Tour 9630 bring the familiar usability for BlackBerry users into attention and it has OS 4.7, which has a great usable web browser, and I liked very much the fact that this phone offers multitasking application. As disadvantages, I would mention that it has no touchscreen, and the position of the USB is a little bit uncomfortable for right handed people.
