Big summer plans for HTC

The HTC Magic, which you probably know very well by now, as it is the world’s second handset to be absed on the Android platform, has been released in the market during this year (in May, to be more precise). The phone was launched by Vodafone at that time, but it is expected to become available in the near future in more and more markets from all over the world. Countries like China and the United States are included.

In the United States, for example, the HTC Magic will be known under the name of MyTouch Go, being sold by T-Mobile.

What’s quite intriguing when it comes to this phone is the fact that its manufacturer has put its hopes very up. So, HTC is neglecting the general crisis that the world is facing these days, hoping that the sales of the Magic will be no more, no less than spectacular. Now, let’s see what spectacular means in HTC’s opinion.

According to a Chinese paper called Commercial Times, the CEO of HTC, Peter Chou, is confident that in the next couple of months there will be more than 1 million Magic devices to be shipped in countries from every corner of the world. This is one hell of an estimation, right?

And if you think that the G1 sold the milionth unit after more than 6 months, the performance of the Magic is more than impressive. Chapeau bas, if we may say so!
