Blackberry gets banned in France

Blackberry banned

Ok, this is weird news. Blackberry got banned in France. But the interesting part is the reason. It got banned because it was a threat to France's national security. Not because it didn't meet some standards or I don't know, it's american...no, it got banned because the french fear US and UK spying. I bet the guys at RIM always wanted to know how the heck do you make that omlette du fromage.

This ban is based on the fact that RIM's servers are located in the US and the UK and are not secure. Of course, RIM responded and said that all data transmitted through their network is secure and even the US National Security Agency doesn't have access to it. They also added that their services were approved by many country and organizations such as NATO, US, UK, Australia or Canada.
