C903 Frances, a new Sony Ericsson slider phone

More and more Cyber-shot phones are available on the market these days, and there are even more to come. For example, the last similar device that was very much written about is the Sony Ericsson C901, a 5 megapixel phone also known under the name of Filippa, which is expected to benefit its official announcement on February 15.

Now, rumors say that another Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot is to become available sometime soon. Though, up until the moment you will have the chance to have it in your own very hands, the C903, the successor of the C901, is said to be announced, within an official context, at Mobile the World Congress 2009.

Maybe you have the impression that it’s not the first time to hear something about this handset and this is completely true, as the C903 was codenamed in the past Frances. The new Sony Ericsson slider phone comes with the following features: a 5 megapixel camera equipped with autofocus, Face Detection, Smile Shutter, PhotoFix and an active lens cover, then a 2.4 inch TFT screen with a resolution of 320x240 pixels and integrated A-GPS.

Unfortunately, there are no more details available about Frances, but on the SEMC blog it is said to be officially announced during the same event as the C901, the Mobile World Congress, which is to be held in February, in Barcelona. As far as the availability is concerned, it is expected to be commercialized starting the second quarter of 2009, if everything goes according to the plan. The price? What about the price? Come on, guys, do you really think an information like that is available at this point?
