Posted by: Sierra in Nokia
The second multimedia handset released by Nokia together with the Nokia N85, is the N-Gage-enabled Nokia N79 bar model with a nice silver finish and equipped for mobile entertainment.
Featuring navigation, multimedia player, FM transmitter, high-speed wireless transfers, full web browsing in landscape mode and 10 pre-installed N-Gage games, like the previous model mentioned, Nokia N79 will be out in October at a starting price set at EUR 350 before taxes.

It too has a built-in 5MP digital camera for pictures and video recording, optimized with Carl Zeiss lens, sliding lens cover to protect the lens when not in use, dual LED flash for powerful light during night or when you want to capture moments in artificial light, as well as the geotagging capability, which allows you to see at a later time where you took all those pictures. While the N85 has an 8GB microSD memory card, this one comes with 4GB for 3,000 songs, 2,500 images or 4 hours of video stored on it.
"The Nokia N79 packs cutting-edge technology into a compact design - a characteristic of the iconic Nseries - that allows people to discover, create and share their passions with others," said Juha Kokkonen, Director, Nokia Nseries. "It has been designed for those who want a device that is as appealing as it is powerful and comes with interchangeable covers that have automatically matching screen themes. This balance of performance and style means that it is a powerful and defining step forward from the popular and very successful Nokia N72 and Nokia N73."

It is not just a high-end cell phone but also a customizable handset that allows you to choose its color matching your taste, from Xpress-on covers Light Sea Blue, Espresso Brown, Olive Green, White and Coral Red.

At high-speed 3.5G HSDPA you have quick access to online social communities like Flick or YouTube, the Nokia Music Store, N-Gage, Nokia Maps and Share on Ovi service.
In addition, there is the A-GPS enhancement for turn-by-turn directions during walking or driving, as well as information on 15 million points of interest.
