Earlier in May, Alcatel has launched the One Touch S319 handset, an oval clamshell with an unusual design, like most Alcatel cell phones. Continuing the Essence family of models, OT-S319 sports a curves keyboard, an 1.8-inch cSTN display if 128 x 160 pixels and 65K colors, as well as large display fonts, 3 direct access keys destined for the main functionalities like settings, events and phone book, and black exterior contrasting with the silver finish on the inside.

The mobile phone supports WAP and GPRS data transfer technologies, featuring MP3 player, GSM 900 / DCS 1800 frequencies, 5-people conference calls, games, handsfree, and 500k user memory. It is an entry-level cell phone measuring 90.5 x 44.5 x 18 mm at 90 grams, with 7 hours talk time and 400 hours of standby.

Another handset announced in the same period as the One Touch S319, is Alcatel OT-S520 from the same Essence family. This one is a bar type model that even if it's smaller measuring just 11 mm thickness, comes with integrated camcorder function meaning you can use it as a web camera connected to your computer, and it also supports MP3 songs, GSM 900 / DCS 1800 bands, handsfree, GPRS, WAP, having 2MB user memory.
It has a 1.8-inch cTSN display of 128 x 160 pixels and 65K colors and provides up to 10 hours of talk time and 400 hours of standby.
It comes in Black and Cherry-Red colors.



And the third new addition to the Essence series is Alcatel OT-S320, which looks almost exactly as the One Touch S319, but with a rich red interior frame around the keypad. It is an entry-level cell phone, like the previous 2 described, and in plus it comes with FM radio with RDS functionality to let the user listen to the favorite tunes on the go while seeing track and station information, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity with other compatible devices.

At the beginning of this month I was telling you that Alcatel has announced its 2008 cell phones collection and one of them is OT-E206a that will be the first model to be released by O2 Wireless in US.
It is not a cool cell phone but is sleek, black and easy to slip in your pocket, coming with the basic phone functions for everyday use at a reasonable price.
Alcatel OT-E206a works on GSM 900 / 1800 bands, and allows you to talk for up to 5 hours continuously, having a stand-by time of 250 hours.

It doesn’t have GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB, built-in camera or Internet browser, but it provides 250 entries for the phone book, polyphonic ringtones on 8 channels, vibration,SMS,and 2 pre-installed games.
It weighs 2.43 oz at 3.85 x 1.67 x 0.73 inches and sports a CSTN display of 65K colors and 96 x 76 pixel resolution.

You can color your life with the Alcatel OT-V209A cell phone, a retro 10 mm candybar-style model with customizable front panel, or reflect your personality with the Alcatel OT-V270A, an attractive clamshell with dark chrome mirrored housing and serious soft-touch interior.
With the Alcatel OT-V770A you can be different showing a Glossy White/Soft-touch Black cool cell phone that sports a landscape color display and measuring just 10 mm thick.



One Touch SPORT is designed to take you into an extreme adventure, as Alcatel like to say, because it features an orange/black exterior design, has one month standby time, a G sensor, and is a great mobile handset for long time use.

The Mandarina Duck is a famous brand under which Alcatel launched one of its coolest cell phone models.
Available in a few distinctive eye-caching colors, Cherry Red, Violet and Green, The Mandarina Duck clamshell measures 45.7 x 89 x 22 mm at 83 grams, showing a 65K color display with 128 x 160 pixels resolution.



Besides its fancy look, the phone is a good media player, with which you can listen to the music and watch videos recorded with the built-in camera, but only in the following file formats: AAC, AMR, M4a, OMA DRM, MIDI, SP-MIDI, MP3, IDE, 3gp and MP4, plus the Karaoke function.

Other features include alarm with multiple ringtones, auto power on/off, currency converter, voice memo, Instant Messaging and Group Messaging for up to five groups and 100 receivers per group.
More than that you can use it as a camera phone and capture pictures in WBMP, GIF and JPG formats, to send them via Bluetooth to another phone, or you can listen to your favorite tunes on the FM radio.



You can’t send e-mails but you can browse the Internet to find out the latest news, play JAVA games, and extend the 10MB of internal memory with a microSD card.
Other connectivity options are: 3G, GPRS, USB and WAP.
The 700mAh LI-Ion battery provides up to seven hours of talk time.



You can find this model at Dolphin for a £35 plan for 18 months, at Flext for £30 with the same 18 months plan, and at Virgin Mobile with a 12 months plan at £25.

engadget has spotted an Alcatel bluetooth watch picture in a mobile phone manual which has a model number of OT-E220A, OT-E225A. The bluetooth watch seems to be included a speaker phone, you can pick up calls directly without touching your phone. It has different notification LEDs on the band to notify you the incoming message.

While there isn't any information on the specifications, it look like this is actually a concept design from Alcatel.
