According to Arbor’s Security and Engineering Response Team, the iPhone will become the primary target for hackers next year because of its important vulnerabilities.
Sounds scary, but these guys know what they’re talking about when insisting on the idea that the iPhone will be the victim of a serious attack next year, in the form of drive by attacks, meaning malware software embedded into seemingly harmless information such as pictures rendered on the web browser.
Another prediction coming from ASERT is a Chinese on Chinese cyber attack involving software like QQ Messenger to steal users personal data.

“2007 was the year of the browser exploit, the data breach, spyware and the storm worm. We expect 2008 to be the year of the iPhone attack, the Chinese Hacker, P2P network spammers and the hijacking of the Storm botnet,†declared Jose Nazario, senior security engineer at Arbor Networks. “Online fraud is soaring and security attacks are now being used in countless and ever more sophisticated ways to both steal and launder money. Financial and other confidential data is being obtained, sold and utilised in the highly developed black market. In 2008 this market will continue to grow and it is important that business implement the processes and technology necessary to protect themselves and their customers.â€

“Good news from T-Mobile!†or better said “Good news for T-Mobile!†because the German court has granted the telecommunications company the exclusiveness to sell the iPhone in this country.
So get ready to say “bye bye!†to the unlocked and expensive devices!
Apple is finally happy that its strategy of selling the iPhone through only one operator in each country has succeeded.
Vodafone has won for a short period of time by obtaining a restriction order for the rival company that was obligated to stop selling locked iPhones.
Klaus Czerwinski, a spokesperson from T-Mobile was happy to declare:
"We are just happy that our opinion is confirmed that this is legal. We still think it is best for the customer."
"From the outset, the intention was ensure clarity on the commercial position in the German marketplace. Vodafone does not believe that the pricing model is in the best interests of the German consumer," added Czerwinski.
