Nokia E71x is said to be the slimmest smartphone ever built that is available on the market. I’m sure that carriers from all over the world would be thrilled to have this cell phone in their range of products, but the selection will most probably be quite laborious and strict. This is why those who will have the chance to sell it have all the reasons in the world to be cheerful and to consider themselves very lucky.
“The trend for messaging, whether email, IM, texting or social networking, is stronger than ever – we are seeing a real shift in the way people prefer to communicateâ€, said David Petts, the Vice President and General Manager, AT&T Account, Nokia. In addition, he said that “The E71x is one of the most stylish and sophisticated QWERTY smartphones on the market, and it’s the ideal companion for people who enjoy easy messaging and connecting with their friends. We are thrilled to now bring this sleek smartphone to people across the United States with AT&Tâ€.

It seems that the present trend is for people to leave the verbal communication behind and concentrate on the non-verbal one, based on text messages or emails. It’s kind of sad, but this is how things are these days. More than that, according to a survey that was conducted with 500 Americans (older than 18 years), 52% of them said that texting or emailing would be the means of communication they’d choose if they were in the situation to be forced to use only one during two weeks.
The phone which is said to be the thinnest QWERTY smartphone now available comes with high-speed 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, an integrated music player, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, AT&T Navigator.
The Nokia E71x release date via AT&T is today. So you can go to the AT&T stores or to the carrier’s official website and grab your own E71x for a retail price of $99.99. The price is after a mail-in rebate and only with a contract-agreement.

When looking for a cell phone that looks good, you cannot dare to think about a rugged cell phone, because, usually, such devices aren’t focused on style and design. In the given context, the brand new Samsung a657 recently introduced by AT&T in its line-up is most certainly the perfect choice for you.
Yes, you guessed it right, the a657 is a rugged handset that was “built to withstand the harshest conditions and most demanding usersâ€. Maybe you remember the latest rugged phone released by the South Korean company, called Rugby a837. Well, similar to this one, the a657 is equipped with Push to Talk capabilities (also known as PTT). However, the main difference consists of the fact that a657 is a candybar.

As for the features, it comes with the following list on board: quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), dual band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity (850/1900 MHz), a display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels and 264K colors, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity, email and Instant Messaging, AT&T Navigator which comes with a dedicated GPS key), an integrated flashlight, an internal memory of 100 MB and microSD card slot for expandable memory of no more than 16 GB.
The new Samsung rugged cell phone measures 4.53 x 2.05 x 0.77 inches and weighs 4.34 ounces, providing up to 3 hours of talk time and up to 10.5 days of stand-by time.
Even if the Samsung a657 can’ be purchased for the moment, you can go make your first impression on AT&T’s official website, at the Business category.

Maybe you remember when Samsung announced the Samsung Propel Pro. Along with this handset, two other cell phones were revealed to the public, and I’m talking about the Samsung Magnet and the Samsung Impression. It seems that the latter is available for being purchased.
The most impressive features of the new Samsung cell phone consist of the 3.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and a full QWERTY keyboard.

But this isn’t everything about it. And let’s see what the South-Korean has prepared for us: a quad band GSM connectivity, dual band HSDPA connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz), a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, an internal memory of 190 MB, which is a little bit disappointing, and a microSD card slot.
The phone measures approximately 4.48 x 2.28 x 0.61 inches and weighs 5.3 ounces, providing up to 3 hours of talk time and no more than 250 hours of stand-by time.
If you’re interested in the Samsung Impression, you can buy it from
AT&T’s official website for an amount of $199.99. But, in order to get this price, you’ll have to be willing to sign a 2 year contract agreement. This way, you’ll obtain a $50 mail-in rebate, using the AT&T Promotion Card. If, on the other hand, you don’t want a contract agreement, the phone is available for $399.99.

There were so many rumors about the Nokia E71x up until today that it seems that the handset has been here since forever. The phone was seen for the first time at the end of last year, sometime in November, but this is the day we’ve all been waiting for. AT&T decided to make it official, even if the Nokia E71x is still unavailable to be purchased.
Part of the S60 Eseries, you can already find the smartphone on the official website of the North American carrier, but, for the moment, it is labeled with the following words: “coming soonâ€. This means that, most probably, the E71x will become available in the next couple of weeks.

If looking very good at this new handset, you’ll realize that there’s not much of a difference, when compared to the E71 that is currently sold by Nokia USA, besides the black case.
The phone was announced along with several other handsets, like the Samsung Propel Pro, Samsung Impression and Samsung Magnet, LG Xenon and LG Neon. This is “a fresh new lineup of smartphones and quick messaging phones that make it easier for customers to message with friends and family and manage their business and personal lives on the goâ€.
The Nokia E71x is said to be the thinnest smartphone on the market and runs on the S60 Symbian operating system. Being 10 millimeters thin, it comes with Wi-Fi, lots of applications based on the Symbian and popular AT&T services (including the AT&T Navigator).
If you’re willing to sign a 2-year contract agreement with the North American carrier, then you’ll get a very good price for the phone: $99, after a mail-in rebate, compared to the $359, the no-contract price.

Music addicts can never have enough alternatives when it comes to their music centric cell phones. This is why manufacturers should always keep an eye on this segment and take good care of their interests. And here we have a phone that was kind of neglected by everyone, but it seems that Motorola decided – finally, if I might say so – to officially release it. It’s the Motorola EM300 (also known as Ischia), a cell phone focused on music features that music lovers aren’t willing to live without.
Back in July 2008, the phone was approved by FCC, a piece of good news for the manufacturer, but since then, there was no word about the EM300 anymore. Because time has passed and left its mark on the phone, the device isn’t the same, now that it’s ready to hit the American market.

The features list includes the following: a touch-sensitive external screen, an 1.3 megapixel camera with video capabilities, tri band EDGE, stereo Bluetooth, Crystal Talk technology, FM radio with RDS, “3D Sound†Surround-sound quality, 3.5mm headphone jack, EQ provided with 11 pre-set genres that are included, the dedicated music key, an internal memory of only 20MB and, of course, a microSD card support for external memory of no more than 2GB.
This new Motorola music phone is expected to start selling in the second quarter of 2009 via AT&T.
