During the awards ceremony at iF Design Award China, BenQ was one of the winners, and it was considered best fit for the Entertainment and Communication category.

As you probably know, this event is sponsored by International Forum Design Hanover from Germany, and the award won by BenQ is one of the most important distinctions from the Asia-Pacific region. The members from the jury are chosen among top international designers.

Like other big companies that show their new products before launching, BenQ has presented its new mobile phone model called BenQ S7 with a modern design, with built-in GPS system, and metallic style housing.

The full specs were not revealed so we’ll have to wait a little longer for some new info and the possible price.

BenQ M7 is the latest candy bar-style mobile phone released by BenQ, a sportish model that is dust- and splash-resistant and in the same time has a water-proof film that covers vulnerable openings, a rubber cover on the USB port and a screw at the battery door.

The phone has 3G UMTS 2100 technology support, Bluetooth and tri-band GSM (GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz) allowing you to use it anywhere you are and download all that you need in a matter of minutes.
It runs on a Qualcomm 6250A processor.



Together with this mobile device you get also a built-in GPS system with A-GPS support for faster localizing even in the areas with tall buildings, providing you special features such as speedometer, compass, and route recording.
For fun and relaxation you have the MP3 player, an FM radio and maybe more important would be its 2MP camera with 1600x1200 pixels resolution, and a VGA with video telephony support with which you can capture clear photos and visualize them on the 2-inch TFT LCD screen of 262K colors.



You can communicate with friends and family through MS, MMS, EMS and e-mail, and navigate on the Internet using its xHTML browser.
For all that you download into your phone BenQ added also a microSD slot for storing up to 2GB on a memory card, because the 50MB of internal memory is not enough these days.



BenQ M7 measures 105x47.5x16.8 mm, weighting 93g, and has a 920 mAh Li-Ion battery with a talk time of up to 5 hours and 400 hours in standby.
The model’s price is still unknown.
