As far as the features are concerned, here’s what you can find on this phone’s board: CDMA 800Mhz and PCS 1900Mhz bands, a 1.5 inch CSTN display with a resolution of 128×128 pixels and 65k colors, USB connection, HTML browser, Instant Messaging and an internal memory of only 2MB. There are no details about a camera or the possibility of expanding the capacity storage via microSD cards.

The phone measures 4.07 x 1.77 x 0.59 inches and provides up to 3.5 hours of talk time and up to 325 hours of stand-by time.

They are called Kyocera S1300 and Cricket A100, being two simple candybars sold by the American provider at affordable prices.

Kyocera S1300 comes with the following features: Mobile Web, which allows users to download ringtones and graphics and to browse the Web, Cricket games and applications, SMS, voice memos, speakerphone, HAC-compliance and TTY/TDD support for hearing-impaired. The device provides up to 200 minutes of talk time and up to 200 hours of stand-by time.

The Cricket A100, on the other hand, features an internal antenna, a 1.8 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 128×160 pixels and 65k colors, speech recognition for handsfree dialing, 2.5mm mono headset jack, a mini USB charging port, vibrate, speakerphone, Mobile Web, games and applications, and an internal memory of only 31MB. Measuring 4.44×1.94×0.55 inches and weighing approximately 2.47 ounces, the phone provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time and up to 250 minutes of stand-by time.

These two new cheap prepaid cell phones are available only through select Cricket stores and dealers in Chicago, retailing at a price of $89.99. However, both devices are expected to start selling soon in all Cricket markets.
