The ChitterChatter phone provides a call center available 27/7 where operators can make calls, provide directory assistance and help with setup. The HOP1890 has a Dual-band 850/1900MHz in the US or 900/1800MHz for Europe and offers 300 minutes of talk time and 300 hours of standby time. As far as the GPS feature is concerned, parents or caretakers simply use the Internet or any phone with SMS capabilities to quickly identify the location of the device in approximately 1 minute. So, by just touching one button, seniors and kids stay in touch with close family and friends or send their location. The phone features a large, bright screen with large text that is easy to read and bigger buttons that are easy to push, so dialing and making calls is easier than ever on the HOP1890.

“This is an affordable way for seniors to feel safe and confident. It’s funny to hear it is promoted as the $10 Anti-iPhone as it doesn’t have a display, but its main features include dual-band support, 4 hours talk time, 150 hours standby, polyphonic ringtones support, vibration, and measures just 96.6 x 41.6 x 14 mm at 77 grams. In addition it uses the Infineon sound chip for high audio quality and call stability.

About the design we have to mention its tactile numeric keypad with Braille markings and the fact that it can be co-branded.

The cost is explained by the fact that this GSM 900/1800 MHz cell phone using Texas Instruments chip sets and Infineon chip sets, doesn’t have an LCD display, but just embedded antenna, 100 phone book entries, speed dial for 90 locations, 12 ring tones, optional GPS module, and multi-language support.

It measures 112 x 46 x 17 mm and is powered by a720 mAh Li-Ion battery that lasts up to 3 hours of talk time and 240 hours in stand-by.

It is a (tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM phone with GPS Chipset for tracking , GPRS Class 10, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 2.0 technologies, and has also browsing (WAP 1.2).

Its internal flash memory is of 128MB but it can be extended to 32MB.
The battery has a stand-by time of up to 500 hours and the talk time ends after 8 hours.
The producer announced two color options which you can pick from: black and silver.
We don’t know yet when the Hop 1883 will be available in markets but the company specified the fact that it will be an inexpensive model.
