The answer to the question “which is the best HTC headset” is pretty subjective because it depends on what every particular individual is looking to get from his cell phone. If someone would ask me which is thought was the best HTC headset, it would have to be the HTC Google Nexus one. I really believe that this smart phone offers pretty much anything you can ask for in a modern and powerful cell phone.

Finally, the HTC Google G1 has been launched. Even if we didn’t expect to have this smart phone this soon, the HTC manufacturer proves that it’s a powerful company and launches the model even faster than any fan expected. Being the first mobile phone equipped with Android, a new promising operating system, the HTC Google can be purchased through T-Mobile for a price of $499. But don’t let the price disappoint you. Read this review and you will discover which makes this smart phone so expensive.

When it was designed, HTC used only high-quality materials. The case is made of resistant high-quality plastic and it’s beautifully covered in a glossy white color. The design of this smart phone is quite simple. The case has a candy-bar form with the bottom part a bit curved and an interesting sliding mechanism for the display. Measuring 117 x 55.7 x 17.1 mm in dimensions and 159 grams in weight, the HTC Google G1 looks solid and compact and even if is not one of the slimmest and lightest smart phones, it feels very comfortable and practical. On the sides of the phone you will notice a camera shutter, two volume buttons, a microSD card slot and a microUSB port (allows you to charge the phone, attach headphones or connect the phone to a PC via USB).

The front side of the phone is occupied by a huge touch screen. Below this display you will find the call and end buttons, a Menu button, a Back key and a Track-Ball. At first sight, you would have never guessed that this smart phone comes with a QWERTY keyboard. Sliding the display’s mechanism you will be surprised to see that the
HTC Google G1comes with a full-QWERTY keyboard, ingeniously hidden under the display. Anyway, this keyboard is composed by large and flat keys. Being very responsive and offering a great positive feedback, you will love typing on these keys. These keys are also properly delimited so you will never make mistakes by pressing the wrong keys.

When it comes to technology, the true value of the
HTC Google is revealed. The display of this smart phone measures 3.17 inches and has a native resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. It also supports up to 65K colors so the images will have a high-quality of colors. Placed on the back side, the 3.2 Megapixel camera is another great feature of this smart phone. Even if we expected a more powerful camera, it is enough for you to take good quality pictures even if it lacks a flash. The internal memory of the phone offers 256 MB of free space but there is also a microSD card slot which supports up to 16 GB. For connectivity, the HTC G1, like all top-rated smart phones, comes with high-end features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, miniUSB, GPS and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G and HSDPA. In order to keep up with all these powerful features plus the ingenious Android operating system, the Google G1 is powered by 192 MB of RAM memory and a Qualcomm MSM7201A 528 MHz processor. The battery life of this smart phone is acceptable. The standard Li-Ion 1150 mAh battery manages to keep the unit on for 5 hours and 20 minutes of conversations and up to 406 hours in standby mode.

The HTC manufacturer is known as the biggest company which offers business smart phones equipped only with high-end features. Having a large range of models, you can choose between many powerful handsets but if you are looking for a low-price mobile phone capable to run all your tasks every day, we recommend the HTC P3400i. Launched in February of 2007, this mobile phone was one of the best units at that time. Armed with many powerful features and Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC, this unit was launched with a huge success.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
In terms of design, the HTC P3400i comes with a somehow classic aspect for a HTC mobile phone. The candy-bar case is made of resistant plastic and has rounded edges and corners. Being covered in a pleasant to touch black finish and having 109 x 58 x 17.6 mm in dimensions, the P3400i feels extremely comfortable and portable. It weighs 126 grams, an excellent feature for a mobile phone at that time. The front side of the phone is occupied by a touch screen. There is only some space left for several control buttons: two soft keys, the call and end buttons, a D-pad, a Windows Mobile key and an OK button. On the sides you will find a volume rocker, a stylus pen slot, a Voice Command button and a camera shutter. On the top part you will find the Power On / Off button and a SD memory card slot, while on the bottom part a miniUSB port is placed.

When it comes to technology, the
HTC P3400i hosts many powerful features. The display is one of the most important. Having 2.8 inches in diagonal, this TFT resistive touch screen has a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and support for up to 65K colors. Even if the resolution seems to be quite low, this display is excellent for browsing the internet or watching movies. The images are clear and have a great quality. It also is very responsive so you need to use the stylus pen only if you want more accuracy. Even if it is a business handset, the P3400i comes with a 2 Megapixel camera. Capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, this camera proves to be very useful if you want to take some memories. Because it lacks a flash, this camera can be useless if you want to take photos in a dark environment. The internal memory of the phone offers 128 MB of free space but thanks to the SD card slot, you can extend it up to 8 GB. For connectivity, even if it is considered a smart phone, the P3400i doesn’t come with many features. It lacks Wi-Fi, GPS and even 3G but comes with support for GSM, GPRS and EDGE plus other features like Bluetooth and miniUSB.

As we said at the beginning, this HTC handset comes with a Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC operating system. For keeping up with such a lot of performance, it comes powered by a TI OMAP 850 200 MHz processor and 64 MB of RAM memory. For a business mobile phone, the battery life is also very important. The included Li-Ion 1250 mAh battery manages to keep the unit on for 5 hours of conversations and up to 200 hours in standby mode. So, when you are asked to pay $220 for this handset, is it not true that this device is worth it?

I always thought associated the HTC cell phone manufacturer with very elegant and slim smart phones, each of them being equipped with a beautiful touchscreen and only the high end technology features. However, HTC cell phones haven’t always been these elegant mobile devices that you currently see on the market, such as the HTC Desire or the HTC Hero.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
We are going to give you an example of an older and bulkier HTC model which is the HTC S730. I found this cell phone to be quite ugly and big. It comes with a silver coating which could make it look elegant but the weight and dimensions are a real turn-off. This cell phone measures 105.8 x 51x 19.4 mm in dimension and it has a total weight of 150 grams. The cell phone offers support for 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G networks (HSDPA 2100) as well. This cell phone has been available on the market ever since December 2007 so you can tell it is not exactly a new HTC model. The front side is 50% occupied by a 2.4 inch display that comes with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. This TFT display is capable of showing 65K colors. The other half of the front side is full of keys and a regular numerical keypad. However, this cell phone does have a surprise in store for us. There is a beautiful full QWERTY keyboard that slide on the right side and it makes typing a whole lot easier.

The memory of this cell phone is capable of storing an unlimited number of entries and fields and it can also remember an unlimited number of call records. The internal memory of this cell phone is as low as 256 MB but using the microSD card slot, you can extend the memory of this cell phone. The HTC S730 also comes with 64 MB of RAM. This cell phone may appear to be quite ugly, but it does come with an included Wi-Fi 802.11b/g as well as Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and also 3G HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps. The camera found on this cell phone is not the best one ever seen as it has only 2 MP and it can take pictures at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.

This cell phone takes its power from a 400 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7200 processor and it uses the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard operating system to run all its applications. Other features that you may find interesting and useful about the
HTC S730 are the pocket office suit which allows you to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents and it also has a PDF viewer. There is also a MP3 / AAC player and the voice memo feature. We haven’t found any specific details about the cell phone;s battery performance so we can’t exactly give you any number. However, we have learned that this battery is below the category average and its performance is quite weak.

Together with the launching of the first Touch handset, HTC became one of the biggest mobile phone manufacturers, being a strong rival for Nokia or Sony Ericsson.
