Running on Windows Mobile, the phone also brings Wi-Fi, GPS, a 5 megapixels camera and very good performance. There is a lot of interest on touch screen phones and this is the latest trend, but HTC started it a long time ago and even if the phone is an old edition, it still has a big success and it ranked as being among the best.

If you take a look at the phone, it has a sleek design and sophisticated in the same time. More than that, it is even solid and has a very nice construction; you feel the quality when you hold the device in your hands. The soft-touch texture on the back assures a non-slippery texture. The 3.2” touch screen has a pixel resolution of 480x800, making images and text look sharp, seems like they are actually popping out of the screen. The built-in accelerometer helps the phone turn from portrait to landscape mode. It may not work in all applications, but it does the job right with photos, web pages, e-mails and videos. Moreover, with TouchFlo 3D interface brings some changes and functionality, you get tabs for calendars and you can arrange and remove widgets from the Home screen to the Settings menu. If you don’t like this interface, you can always switch back to Windows theme. When you use the Start menu, you get a grid view of all programs and settings and you can customize the page with your favorite ones. Overall, there are new additions to the user interface experience and you will surely come to like it. When it comes to entering text, you can use the on-screen QWERTY keyboard, available in landscape mode for easy typing. With a little haptic feedback, you will now when the phone registered your commands. Below the screen there are four navigation controls: Talk/End keys, Start menu shortcut and the Back button. There is also a touch-sensitive zoom bar below the screen that gives you the chance to zoom in and out web pages, documents, messages and pictures. It takes a while until you notice it, but now that you know of its existence, it makes things easier. On the left side of the phone you can find the volume rocker and the speaker and stylus bare on the right side. On the bottom are the mini USB port and the power connector along with the headset jack. With integrated GPS antenna, it includes QuickGPS utility and downloads satellite information to help speed in order to locate your position faster. Pre-installed you get Google Maps and you get text based turn by turn directions, information about businesses and traffic data.

Finally, the 5 megapixels camera takes impressive photos, but video quality a bit dark. HTC Touch Diamond 2 brings performance to another level; inside it has packed 528 MHz Qualcomm processor and 512MB ROM/288MB RAM. The phone is quite responsive. The battery life will keep you going for around 5.6 hours in talk time and 15 days in stand-by.
