Two Huawei phones officially unveiled

As I told you earlier, international events, recognized all over the world and highly anticipated by each an every company, are chosen by those who want to unveil the latest results of their work. A relevant example is Huawei, a Taiwan-based company that decided to unveil the U8230, the company’s first smartphone running on Android, the Google platform, and the C8000, which runs on the Windows Mobile, during CommunicAsia 2009.

If you’re familiar with everything that happens in the mobile phones world, then you probably know that back in February Huawei presented an Android prototype. If you remember that handset, then it’s not difficult for you to realize that the U8230 looks a little bit different from that cell phone.

As for the features, it is equipped with a 3.5 inch touch sensitive display (the resolution is not known for the moment), an on-screen QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2 megapixel camera, trackball, several Google applications, of course, such as Google Map, Google Search or Google Talk, and a 1,500 mAh battery.

The other cell phone, based on Windows Mobile, comes with features such as a 2.8 inch touch sensitive display, a 3D user interface, and, as the company said, “a unique independent display adapter which enables the smooth presentation of video files and DV-quality pictures”.

“Having joined the Open Handset Alliance in 2008, Huawei is rapidly moving forward with the development of cutting-edge high-end handsets, especially smartphones powered by Android and Windows Mobile operating systems”, said Glory Chueng, the spokesperson of Huawei Terminals. “The U8230 and the C8000 handsets on display here at CommunicAsia take the interactivity experience of smartphones to a whole new level and Huawei is looking forward to working with our customers to bring them to market later this year.”
