Hyundai MB-490i Dolphin cell phone

There’s no doubt about the fact that Hyundai is just a newcomer as far as the mobile phones world is concerned, being better known for the Hyundai Motor Company, “the world’s fifth largest automaker selling mid0sized sedans, coupes, and SUVs like the Sonata, Genesis Coupe and the Santa Fe†( Wikipedia).

Being a new presence in this “jungleâ€, the company should bring the most impressive and innovative cell phone in the market in order to survive in a very harsh world. We witnessed in the past a couple of attempts coming from Hyundai, but we can’t say that they were the best surprises of them all. On the contrary.

Now, here’s another Hyundai novelty: the MB-490i Dolphin, a handset that is designed to attract people through its unusual silhouette. The name is quite suggestive, as you can easily see, so you can figure out for yourselves if there’s a resemblance between the phone and a… dolphin. It looks like one, at least when you look at if from the sides.

As far as the features are concerned, they include: a touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a touch sensitive navigation wheel that is placed below the display, Stereo Bluetooth, Yamaha speakers and FM radio.
The Hyundai MB-490i Dolphin is expected to become available in the European continent starting May 2009 and will retail under a price of approximately 250 Euros (meaning $315).
