Being a new presence in this “jungle”, the company should bring the most impressive and innovative cell phone in the market in order to survive in a very harsh world. We witnessed in the past a couple of attempts coming from Hyundai, but we can’t say that they were the best surprises of them all. On the contrary.

Now, here’s another Hyundai novelty: the MB-490i Dolphin, a handset that is designed to attract people through its unusual silhouette. The name is quite suggestive, as you can easily see, so you can figure out for yourselves if there’s a resemblance between the phone and a… dolphin. It looks like one, at least when you look at if from the sides.

As far as the features are concerned, they include: a touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a touch sensitive navigation wheel that is placed below the display, Stereo Bluetooth, Yamaha speakers and FM radio.

The Hyundai MB-490i Dolphin is expected to become available in the European continent starting May 2009 and will retail under a price of approximately 250 Euros (meaning $315).
