3 is a magic number for LG Tritan

I don’t know if rules in literature are the same in their overall sense and comprehension all over the world, or they differ from country to country. But what I know for sure is that here in my country numbers like 3, 7 or 12 are strongly emphasized in fairy-tales, for example, and they have special meanings. And just like the other two I mentioned, 3 is a magic number.

It seems that number 3 has some sort of magic inside not only when it comes to fairy-tales, but also when it comes to the LG Tritan, the latest cell phone released by Alltel Wireless. The complete name of the device is actually LG Tritan AX480 and comes with some very interesting features.

First of all, it is equipped with a 3 inch full touch sensitive display, of a resolution we don’t know right now, a 3 megapixel camera and, of course, the 3G network speed. In addition, it comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, full Internet browser, virtual keypad that is very easy to use, voice recognition, dialing based on voice commands, stereo Bluetooth capabilities and a microSD card support for expandable memory.

As for the services that you’ll have at your disposal when using the new LG Tritan, being provided by Alltel Wireless, here you have some of them: a preloaded application called My-Cast Weather (which can be used for free by those customers who choose a pack called Smart-Choice with unlimited data), Alltel Navigation, nuTsie, Alltel TV, Alltel Radio Connect and Alltel E-mail.

“LG Tritan by Alltel is a great phone to keep customers connected to their friends and family while delivering features like the camera just in time for summer vacations”, said Wendy Michell, director of Device Strategies for Alltel Wireless. “Running on Alltel’s advanced 3G network, LG Tritan creates a trifecta experience for our wireless users – an experience that is full of entertainment, communication and a whole lot of fun.”

The phone measures 4.5 x 2.2 x 0.6 inches and weighs 5.0 ounces and it’s available for $79.99, after a $100 mail-in rebate, if you’re willing to sign a contract agreement. You can have your own LG Tritan from online Alltel stores or those across the United States.

LG GD910 in the shelves, starting July

The LG GD910 was announced a couple of months ago by Orange UK. It was back in February when the provider said the fabulous watch phone that everyone is expecting while holding their breath will become available sometime during this year. “Later this year” was the best Orange could do when referring to the possible release date of the cell phone.

Because the surprise or the agony, whatever you might want to call it, couldn’t last forever and Orange finally realized that, they decided to give us a date, a possible date of the release. It seems that you’ll be able to buy the watch phone starting next month (July, of course) from Orange UK and Carphone Warehouse, where it will be available on an exclusive basis.

This can be considered the first release of the GD910 which will be followed by another, in countries from all over the world: from Asia to Latin America and even the Australia.

As for the features, the watch phone will be equipped with a 1.43 TFT touch sensitive display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, video calling, Bluetooth with A2DP connectivity, an MP3 player and text-to-speech. As for the price, the LG GD910 is expected to retail for no more than 1,000 Euros. It’s quite expensive, if you ask me, but I wouldn’t worry for LG. I’m sure there will be lots of customers eager to have their own watch phone on their wrists.

LG GD900 Crystal, from the catwalk in the shop windows

LG made the perfect choice when it decided to present their GD900 Crystal phone at the Mobile World Congres, which was held back in January, where it rapidly became the main attraction of the event. It wasn’t hard for something like this happen, due to the innovative transparent keyboard.

At first, the phone was announced to start selling sometime during May (meaning the month that has just ended), but it’s obvious that you still do not have the chance to see it in the shop windows, just like you expected.

However, there’s a piece of good news waiting in line: it seems that the LG GD900 is going to become available, “very soon”, as a matter of fact, in an impressive number of countries from Asia, Europe and Latin America. 40 countries, to be more precise, which is pretty much.

The phone distinguish itself from other cell phones due to its transparent keypad, but there are other features that are to impress you as well: the 3 inch WVGA touchscreen display, an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, an accelerometer, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, TV out and an internal memory of 1.5GB. All of these features are stuffed in a case that is 13.5 millimeters thick.

Unfortunately, we don’t have details about the price of the LG GD900, not for the moment, but rumors say the retail price will be 450 Euros (meaning $622). It won’t be the most affordable of them all, but it’s not a mid-end phone, right?

In addition, it seems that the LG GD900 will be available in two different colors: chrome and titanium.

LG Glance via Verizon

The American people cannot complain about the cell phone market existent in their country, because there are many powerful carriers that are eager to satisfy their needs at a maximum level of performance. So it’s no wonder that June 5th is going to be a very busy day for the guys over Verizon who announced the introduction of LG enV Touch in their line of products.

But it seems there will be one more South Korean phone to hit the American market on the same day and it will be sold by Verizon also. The phone will be called LG Glance VX7100 and it won’t be much more impressive than the enV Touch, but Verizon sure hopes that it will bring a significant number of customers.

The slim candybar has a cover that looks like being very exquisite and expensive, even if it’s not made of expensive materials.

The features include a 2 inch QVGA display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, CDMA 1xRTT connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, and 2.5mm headset jack. It measures 4.31 x 1.87 x 0.38 millimeters and weighs 2.92 ounces, while the battery provides no more than 350 hours of stand-by time.

As for the price, you should know that the Samsung VX7100 is expected to be sold for approximately $50 ($49.99, to be more precise), but only if you’re willing to sign a 2 year contract agreement. The price is what you get after a $50 mail-in rebate. The retail price, on the other hand, is of $219.99.

LG Renoir KC910E is going to China

Some news might not be very interesting to some of the readers of our website, because they include information concerning certain countries, but I think it’s important for everyone to be informed. Chinese people, for example, will be very happy to know that a new cell phone is going to be released in their country: the LG Renoir KC910E.

The device is still new, even if it was made available in the European continent at the end of 2008, but the phone will be blessed with another version, especially for the Chinese version. And if you don’t believe it, then you can go to the official website of the company and see for yourselves.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The LG Renoir KC910E won’t be equipped with 3G, which means you will only benefit the advantages of the tri band GSM connectivity (with 900/1800/1900 MHz and GPRS and EDGE). In addition, there will be a 3 inch touch sensitive display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and Xenon flash, assisted GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi and microSD card slot for expandable memory.

The LG cell phone is expected to be sold for approximately 3,200 CNY, which means no more than $470. I hope Chinese readers will be enthusiastic about this new apparition, as it is aimed at them and at them only.
