More and more cell phone manufacturers from all over the world are getting involved in a battle for supremacy that seems to be quite unfair sometimes. However, this is a battle that will make things go further, to the next level, like people use to say.

ModeLabs, for example, is a France-based cell phone maker that is very eager to do its best when it comes to this area. You’ve probably heard about it when the MTV 3.4 made its appearance and now it’s trying to surprise the public with another handset, the company’s first toucscreen phone which is to be released under the name of MyWay Touch.

Being part of the MyWay Series (joining the MyWay Slim and the MyWay Alure), the MyWay Touch is a phone equipped with a touch sensitive display. Nevertheless, budget conscious people will be able to have a MyWay of their own, as the handset is an entry-level one which is to be sold under an affordable price.



The design, as you can see in the pictures, looks alright, but not spectacular. And, when it comes to the features, the MyWay Touch might be a little bit disappointing. It has tri band GSM/GPRS connectivity, but it lacks 3G and EDGE. Other features it is equipped with include a 2.4 inch display (we assume it has a QVGA resolution), a 3.2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth connectivity, USB 1.1, accelerometer, FM radio, WAP 2.0 browser and a microSD card support.

The MyWay Touch measures 96.4 x 52.4 x 12 millimeters and comes with a 720 mAh battery that provides up to 2 hours and 10 minutes of talk time. The handset is expected to become available starting the next month for a price of approximately $175.

The MTV cell phone will come at a price of just EUR 49 in all SFR stores and major retail outlets.
Other features include stereo MTV Bluetooth kit, Surround Sound System, and Pop/Rock/Truebass/Jazz/Classic/Basic music modes.
