Motorola Razr 2 V9Motorola Razr 2 V9

The Motorola Razr 2 V9 is another example of a great and beautiful Motorola slim cell phone that comes with all the right specs to be highly appreciated by consumers which are looking for a mainstream cell phone to cover the mainstream mobile device needs. The Motorola Razr 2 V9 is not the hottest and not the most hi-tech Motorola cell phone out there but let us take a look through the specs and see if this cell phone has what it takes to be your next mobile purchase.

The Motorola Razr 2 V9 offers support for both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) as well as 3G networks (HSDPA 2100). This cell phone has been available on the market since 2007 and it has been making people happy ever since. The dimensions of this cell phone are 103 x 53 x 13.3 mm while the total weight of the cell phone is 125 grams. The 2.2 inch display of this device comes with a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and it offers support for 256K colors. Since all Motorola Razr phones are clamshell devices, the Motorola Razr 2 V9 makes no exception. The external display of the phone measures 2 inches is diagonal and it comes with contextual touch interaction. It also offers support for 256K colors and it comes with a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels as well.

The phonebook memory of this cell phone is capable of storing 1000 contact entries and it can also give you details about the last 30 dialed, missed and received calls. The internal memory of the cell phone is as low as 45 MB but thanks to the included microSD card slot you can always extend the memory of the phone. The Motorola Razr 2 V9 comes with a Bluetooth adapter and a micro USB port but it does not come with integrated wireless and there is also no infrared port. Taking pictures is not exactly what I would call the strongest point of this cell phone. The 2 MP sensor can only take pictures at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. I guess the camera is OK when you really want to take a picture and there is no better option but the pictures and not exactly going to be the clearest.

The Motorola Razr 2 V9 may not have an included radio but there are some included games and you can always download some more. When you plan on listening to music, you are definitely going to find the MP3 / AAC / AAC+ player useful along with other cool features such as a voice memo, an organizer, the possibility to download videos and many more. The standard battery that comes with this cell phone is pretty weak and not at all what you would expect to find on a mobile phone that has the class and reputation of the Motorola Razr. The Li-Ion mAh will keep the cell phone on for about 3 hours and 30 minutes of talk time and 260 hours in standby mode.

Motorola V195 Cell Phone

When it comes to old Motorola cell phones, I remember these really big and not at all light mobile phone models that one could not easily fit into the pocket. The Motorola V195 cell phone is probably not the best example of a big old Motorola cell phone, but it is one simple device that you used to be proud of if you had it back in 2006.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

You will notice that the design of this cell phone is pretty basic so this in one part that we shall skip very fast. If dimensions are your main interest, you must know that this cell phone measures 3.6 x 1.8 x 0.9 inches in dimensions and it has a total weight of 3.6 ounces which makes it really light and easy to fit into almost any pocket. The external display of the Motorola V195 cell phone has a rectangular shape and it is a monochrome display which has a resolution of 96 x 32 pixels and it is able to display information about the signal strength, the battery life, the caller ID and also the current time. Below the display you shall notice a Motorola logo that will flash every time you have an incoming call.

The internal display comes with support for 65,000 colors and while the quality of the images is not very high, the diagonal of the display measures 1.75 inches so we are not exactly dealing with big images. The resolution of this display has 128 x 160 pixels. There are 2 different menus available and you can adjust several features as the brightness of the screen, the contrast and even set up the backlight time. This cell phone has dedicated keys for the internet browser, the message folder and main menu. You can set up different shortcuts for the four way toggle key, the smart key located on the left spine and the 2 soft keys. The is also an OK button right in the middle of the toggle center and you also have the talk and end keys.

The numerical keypad feels very pleasant to the touch and it is very easy to use. Since the buttons are big, they are very easy to press and the middle row has been raised a bit above the surface in order to provide you with a dialing feel. The battery life of this cell phone will manage to keep the unit on for 3.4 hours of talk time and about 11 days in standby mode. The memory of the phone will store 1000 contact entries with different information such as 6 different phone numbers, an e-mail and street address and even a birthday date. You can assign caller IDs but you will not be able to see the picture on the external display. There is also no integrated camera so taking pictures is out of the question. You get demo versions for Pinball, Midnight Pool and Bejeweled. The internal memory of the phone is also very low, having only 10 MB of storage space.

Motorola Razr 2 V8 cell phone

The Motorola Razr 2 V8 has to be one of the most elegant Motorola phones of the Razr series. These cell phones are quite big and will not fits into any pair of tight pants, but one you take the phone out of the pocket you will notice that you are holding a very elegant device.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

We all know about the success that the V3 and the V3x registered on the market and the Motorola Razr 2 V8 may not have had the same fortune, but it is one device that has managed to its own segments of customers and fans. This cell phone has been available on the market ever since May 2007 and it works in 2G networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900). The dimensions of this cell phone are 103 x 53 x 11.9 mm while the total weight of the system is 117 grams.

The 2.2 inch display comes with a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and support for 256K colors. As am I sure you have gotten used to by now, the Razr cell phones are clamshell mobile devices that comes with external and internal displays. The external display measures only 2 inches in diagonal and it comes with a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and offers support for 256K colors. The memory of the cell phone can store up to 1000 contact entries and it can remember the last 30 dialed, missed and received calls. The internal memory of the phone comes with 2 GB and there is no card slot available which means you cannot extend it.

As far as design is concerned, this cell phone is probably one of the slimmest ones ever seen. Opening up the phone will reveal a beautiful numerical pad and a 4 way button right under the display that comes with another OK button right in the middle. Since there is no integrated wireless, you can’t connect to the internet using wireless hot spots. The primary camera of this cell phone has a 2 mp sensor and it is able of taking pictures at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. In order to run some of its applications, this cell phone comes with the LINUX operating system. The Motorola Razr 2 V8 lacks a lot of the features that modern day cell phones are equipped with and it certainly cannot reach the performances of a smart phone. Even so, it does come with an audio player which is able to support MP3 / AAC / AAC+ file formats.

Other features that this cell phone comes with are the T9 dictionary input and the voice memo feature. The standard Li-Ion 770 mAh battery can manage to keep the cell phone on for 7 hours and 50 minutes of talk time and about 330 hours in standby mode. We have to admit that the battery does have a pretty decent run time so there will be no severe complaints at this chapter.

Motorola Razr 9x

Motorola flip cell phones are, without a doubt, some of the coolest looking mobile devices. I remember when the v3 first appeared on the market. People were simply dying to get their hands on that superb slim cell phone. The girls were just going crazy and the Motorola v3 was becoming more of a fashion accessory rather than a usual cell phone. However, this article is not dedicated to the Motorola v3; it is about the Motorola Razr 9x, another great example of a slim Motorola flip cell phone that impressed with elegance and cool features for the middle of the year 2008.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The Motorola Razr 9x is also known as the Razr 2 V9x and it is a device that measures 103 x 53 x 13 mm in dimensions, while the total weight of the phone is 125 grams. The cell phone may be big, but it is slim and it will never be a shame taking it out of your pocket or purse to answer a call or send a text message. The Razr 9x offers support for both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) as well as 3G networks (HSDPA 2100). This cell phone is a beauty both in and out. The external display is huge as it measures 2 inches in diagonal and it offers support for 256K colors. The internal display is a notch larger as it measures 2.2 inches in diagonal but it comes with the same native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels as the external one.

The memory of the Motorola Razr 9x will allow you to store 1000 phonebook entries and it can remember the last 30 dialed, missed and received calls. The internal memory of this cell phone is only 45 MB but wherever there is a microSD card slot included, there is the ability to extend the memory and this cell phone can recognize up to 8 GB of internal storage memory. This Razr model does not have integrated wireless but it does have Bluetooth. Taking pictures is not the chapter at which the Razr 9x is at its best but with the 2 MP sensor, it can still take pictures at a native resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.

The Motorola Razr 9x also has an integrated GPS that offers A-GPS support and upon purchasing it from AT&T you can benefit from the AT&T Navigator. Just like most Razr models, the Razr 9x has a included MP3 / AAC / AAC+ audio player which is combined with other important features like an organizer, a voice memo functions and the ability to download videos once you go online. The standard battery of this cell phone is, unfortunately, one of the weakest points of the Motorola Razr 9x. The included battery of this cell phone is a Li-Ion 950 mAh and it will only manage to keep the device on for 3 hours and 30 minutes when in talk mode and about 260 hours in standby mode.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
The Motorola Q cell phone measures 116 x 64 x 11.5 mm in dimensions and has a total weight of 115 g. The display of this smart phone measures 2.4 inches diagonally and it offers support for 65k colors at a 320 x 240 pixel resolution. A cool thing about the display is that it can be readable in direct sunlight. This smart phone comes with some predefined background images, themes and font sizes. But you can upload your own images, you can change the color theme, the font size and the backlight time. The operating system of this smart phone is Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone Edition with 64 MB of RAM and an internal memory of 128 MB.

Let’s talk about the keyboard of this phone. Because the Motorola Q smart phone is not equipped with a touch screen, you have to use the keys that are under the display to navigate into the menu. Below the screen there are two soft keys, the Send and End keys, a Home shortcut key, a Back key and a five navigation toggle. On the left of the phone we have a mini USB port, an infrared port and a Mini SD card slot. On the top of the device we can find a 2.5 mm headset jack. The phone is equipped with a 1.3 mp camera with video-recording option. You can take photos in five different resolutions: 160 x 120, 176 x 144, 320 x 240, 640 x 480 and 1280 x 1024 pixels. This Motorola smartphone can be purchased from Verizon Wireless for a price of $199 with a 2 year contract. The Motorola Q comes with the Windows Media Player 10 Mobile which is a great tool that can cover most multimedia needs. This smart phone can cover a lot of audio and video file formats such as MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV, MPEG-4 and even WMV. This Motorola Q smartphone is very popular for the multimedia experience that it delivers as you can transfer your favorite audio clips and even some of your favorite TV shows on this cell phone and watch them smoothly. As for the battery life, it is not recommended that you buy a smart phone when you want a mobile device which offers long hours of conversations because the high end technology features are going to eat up a lot of battery power. The Motorola Q is able to stay on for 4 hours of conversations and about 4 days in standby mode which is average performance.
