It is not a bad idea for a very successful cell phone to be brought from the dead, especially if the certain phone is expected to still create sensation if it were available in the market. It is not a bad idea if the company knows very well that there’s a real demand coming from the customers concerning the cell phone in discussion. Otherwise, efforts are useless.
This is what happened with the Motorola A1200, which was known as the Motorola Ming phone. It behave better than the company would have expected it to behave when it was released, back in 2006. Yearning for those days, Motorola decided to revive that fever, so it has just unveiled the new Motorola A1200R.

The most important differences between the two handsets consist of the following features that you won’t be able to find withing the old version: widgets (you have easy access to weather information, news and so on), the Microsoft Office document editing, FM radio, business card scanner which is based on OCR technology (also known as Optical Character recognition) and an external memory of 1GB that is included in the package.
The camera and the display are exactly the same: a 2 megapixel camera and a QVGA display with touch sensitive capabilities.
The new Motorola Ming phone has just been announced in Argentina, so chances are very high for it to become available in other countries from Latin America. As for its price, we don’t know how much it will cost you to revive the Ming fever, but we’ll keep you informed.
Motorola W7. Does it ring a bell to you? It should, because it’s a handset that made its debut, if I may say so, through some leaked photos that all of you could see on the Internet a couple of weeks ago. As usual, after a period of time, the device is given the official treatment.
What’s a very nice thing about this one is the fact that it doesn’t look as bad as we thought. The MOTO W7 Active Edition is “designed for those who want a ‘moving’ phone experienceâ€, being equipped with an accelerometer which is able to sense the body motions of the user, the orientation and the hand gestures.

But let’s see what features you can find within this new Motorola slider cell phone. It comes with a built-in pedometer which is designed to count and record the daily walks and runs, an application called Personal Trainer to help you create a personal profile consisting of goals, workout profiles and summary reports, an MP3 player, FM radio, a full screen video viewing, an external memory of 8GB, a 2.0 megapixel camera for still images and a VGA camera with video capabilities.
“For those who are always on the move, the MOTO W7 Active Edition is designed to keep up with the paceâ€, said Alain Mutricy, who is the Senior Vice President at Motorola Mobile Devices. “The accelerometer technologies put a new spin on the traditional relationship we have with our phone by not only simplifying how you use it, but making it more fun in the processâ€.
Available in two color versions, Licorice and Alpine White, the W7 Active Motorola slider cell phone is expected to start selling in the second quarter of 2009 in Asia and in Latin America. The price is unknown for the moment.
There were some opinions concerning the new Motorola Clutch, also known as i465, that refered to it as a weird candybar, but it is justified by the the handset’s name. The company presents the phone as the company’s “first device that combines the power of push-to-talk and the convenience of QWERTYâ€.
In addition, it seems that the i465 comes equipped with a very familiar design, but also with a durability that is similar to the durability of devices that are made after military conditions. This way, it doesn’t matter if you love to write messages or to talk all day and night, ‘cause you’ll be able to enjoy the ultimate experience.

The list of features includes: a 1.79 inch TFT display with a display of 128 x 160 pixels and 64k colors, Bluetooth connectivity, micro USB, a VGA camera with 4x zoom, threaded messaging, MMS, email, a 2.5mm audio jack, and an internal memory of only 20MB.
The phone measures 54 x 112.8 x 14.9 millimeters and weighs 96 grams, while the 1130 mAh battery provides up to 205 minutes of talk time and no more than 100 hours of stand-by time. As for the release, it seems that this is the next Boost Mobile cell phone. Yes, you’re right, Boost Mobile is said to be launching the Motorola Clutch sometime during this quarter, but we don’t know for sure when nor under what price.
If you have ever heard about the W series developed by Motorola, maybe you know that its cell phones were all part of the low-end range, or maybe the mid-end one, and you can easily imagine that the Motorola W7, the newest device to be launched in the W series, couldn’t be an exception from the rule.
The device hasn’t officially been announced by the company, but it was seen in China and it seems that it’s expected to be used with the 3G network that is going to be introduced by China Unicom. The W7 isn’t a spectacular phone as far as the design is concerned, and you don’t have to be a connoisseur to tell this, but if you take into consideration the fact that it is somehow oriented towards the sports fanatics, it’s understandable.

The waterproof cell phone comes with some simple features such as a 2.2 inch QVGA display, a 2 megapixel camera, a secondary camera that is designed to be used for video calls, a music player, FM radio and a microSD card slot for expandable memory.
The information about the pricing and availability is not known for the moment, but we can assume that the W7 will start selling in China, at least, sometimes in May. As for the other countries, we’re waiting for further details.
Chances are high for readers to make an inauspicious impression about me and I am aware of the fact that I take a bear by the tooth right now, but I can’t help myself. It’s something that goes beyond my comprehension and I can’t do anything about it. David Beckham is so very special for the youngster I’ve been (it was a couple of years ago) and I must confess that I really liked the guy, with his numerous hairstyles, tattoos and “I’m not such a bad guy after all†smile.
It’s not something new, you’d say, because many (sooooo many) women are crazy about the football player, but we all have a past. Disgraceful, here and there, but I’m sure that some things in our lives had to happen, no matter what.

Seeing this picture of David Beckham made me remember an adolescence that was “absorbed†by a character that seemed to be the most fascinating on earth at that time being. And it was inevitable to notice that he is holding a device I know very well in his hands, a Motorola AURA, which makes me wonder about the reason why he does that. Ok, it must be a commercial. Another important thing in the David Beckham biography.
It’s just that rumors say that Motorola is facing a touch period these days and it’s difficult to understand why they have chosen to make such a commercial that must have cost them pretty much. The bad thing about this commercial is that the cute guy does nothing. Ok, maybe I’m mean, he’s looking good, so I can’t say he does nothing. He gives another piece of his body, but come on! We’re all accustomed so such “show offsâ€.
