REDFLY Mobile Companion

REDFLY Mobile Companion

REDFLY Mobile Companion is a new device created by Celio Corp., a mobile computing technology company specialized in Smartphones, which is meant to add notebook functionality to your Smartphone.

As Smartphones have small dimensions there was the need of some additional help to solve this problem, and REDFLY seems to be the right device to take this role.
Designed as a clamshell with an 8-inch display and 800 x 480 pixels resolution, plus a full-functional keyboard and a touchpad mouse, it measures only 1 x 6 x 9 inches and weighs just 2 pounds, which is perfect for a mobile companion able to operate for up to 8 hours continuously.

Extra features include VGA out and the USB ports used for both charging your Smartphone and for attaching flash drives.

To setup REDFLY you need to install the Interface Driver on your Smartphone and then connect it via USB or Bluetooth.
The REDFLY software is compatible with Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC, Smartphone editions and Windows Mobile 6 Professional/ Standard Editions.
Its retail price will be of $500 and it will be exposed at CES 2008.

"The technology in the REDFLY Smartphone Interface System is a true innovation," declared Bill Hughes, Principal Analyst for Scottsdale, Ariz. "Unlike earlier mobile solutions, the REDFLY system extends the actual interface of the Smartphone to a larger display, keyboard and mouse as well as USB and VGA ports. The small keyboard and screen are the issues most commonly cited by respondents within In-Stat surveys as the primary obstacles to further use of Smartphones. This is a technology with the potential to revolutionize the way users view and utilize Smartphones today."

You can ask any type of question and you will receive the answer in very short time as behind the search engine are humans and not a machine that has to decode queries and send unclear results.
