Send SMS by email using Yahoo mail

Send SMS by email using Yahoo mailYahoo tries to get back in the game in any way possible and allowing the Yahoo Mail users to send SMS messages might be a good idea.

The young audience that's using Yahoo Messenger is the same audience that floods the networks with messages about the latest, coolest gadgets around, messages sent to their friends and classmates.

The new Yahoo Mail interface allows users to choose between email, instant messaging or SMS, whichever suits the user best at the moment.

John Kramer, vice-president of Yahoo Mail, said they want to make Yahoo a more social experience, since they are "sitting on top of the largest dormant social network out there".

Since Yahoo Mail has around 250 million accounts, the above statement is not such far-fetched as it may seem.

So, will you send more SMS messages now?

Vodafone may withdraw Nokia N76

Apparently Nokia received quite a number of complains towards their Nokia N76, therefore there are rumours that they will take the phone out of their offer in the future so their services remain of quality.

The customers have been complaining on the hiss from the audio jack and a lag for the buttons that control music functions. And that is not all, since people also said the chrome-looking paint started to chip off a few weeks after its purchase.

Nokia N&^ has been available at Vodafone UK for the price of USD 880, and it is unfortunate to see this appealing design phone disappointing the customers when it comes to its performances. Nokia N76 managed to become of interest due to its attractive design, easily customized to match the user's personality. However, this phone's future now lays on shallow grounds.

Levi’s Mobile Phone to match your jeans

Levis Mobile Phone

With a little help from ModeLabs, Levi's developed their own mobile phone to complete their range of accessories. As you'd expect, this phone is the definition of a fashion phone, with a riveted steel casing, plus a detachable chain for fastening the phone to your jeans or bags.

No clues so far on tech specs, but probably the phone will feature mp3 player, a couple megapixel camera, maybe even video recording and connectivity for sharing the multimedia content. The phone will come in metallic silver, black and brown copper. "Shiny silver" and "shiny sand" editions are dedicated to girls, with a 'mirror' screen. The Levi's mobile phone will be availabe starting September 2007 but no info on prices.

Solar mobile phone from China

Solar Mobile Phone

Just a few days ago I ran out of battery and I was thinking "oh dear, what I wouldn't give for a phone that doesn't have to be charged". And today I smiled when I read that Beijing Hengjiweiye presented its solar mobile phone.

The Chinese producer introduced the solar mobile phone during China Beijing International Expo 2007. This phone has ability to charge its battery just by using any light source.

This king of phone would sure help a lot of people, plus it will please those who are concerned about the green and environmentally-friendly policy.

Losing Weight With Your Phone

Phone Diet

Don't worry, we were troubled too when we saw the headline. How do you do that? Well, public health insurance offices in the Osaka region in western Japan have launched a trial of a dieting service that allows users to take photos of their meals with their cameraphones and get expert advice about their diet.

The idea is pretty good, but there's one major flaw, you have to wait three days for the expert to tell you how many calories you've eaten. Not very helpful. But if they work on the response time, this might be a very interesting solution.
