If your child is one of those who pretend having a cell phone of their own, because he or she thinks that they have the right to it, then maybe you should consider this new kids cell phone, unveiled by Chinavision. The handset is especially designed for your little ones, having in mind the fact that they are more susceptible to all sorts of influences than other human beings.

This is a very easy to use cell phone which comes with a family phonebook, a white list and a parental call setting features. This means you can give your child a cell phone and have no fear as far as the people who they are talking to are concerned. What you must do is to just limit the numbers that your offspring has access to by setting up the cell phone with a couple of phone numbers, of family and friends you know very well and whom you can trust.

The features this pink cell phone is equipped with include: a dual band 900 / 1800 MHz, 1.5 inch LCD display with 65K colors and a resolution of 176 x 132, special call settings such as Fixed Dial, Barred Dial, Keypad Lock, Black List, White List, Speed Dial and Auto Redial, a featured software (to-do list with curriculum scheduling) and five video games.
Measuring 97 x 46 x 14 millimeters (length x width x height), the phone has a rechargeable Li-ion battery that provides up to 2 hours of talk time and up to 75 hours of stand-by time.
The package includes a CVFV-M07 cell phone, the rechargeable Li-ion 700 mAh battery, a USB cable and the user manual. Cell phones for children might easily be converted in great ideas as long as they give parents the possibility to keep them under control. I don’t know how many times I’ve said before that I don’t like luxury cell phones. But my attitude towards such devices is not only inoffensive, but also tolerant, because I know that everything exists for a reason. There are so many people who love them, so who am I to argue their decision to own expensive cell phones that dazzle each and every human being that dares to give them a short glance?

But enough it’s enough. Look at this one! This “luxury cell phone†is unbelievably hideous, if you ask me, with all of those ornaments thrown on it at haphazard. It’s like someone decided to adorn a handset for the Christmas period and when he/she started the adventurous mission, the excitement couldn’t be stopped whatsoever. And the result is right in front of your eyes. I apologize for putting you to the torture of watching this wacky invention, but I really think that every human being has to be given all sorts of examples, in order to be able to know what is right and what is wrong. This is so wrong, guys!

Givori, a company that aims at competing with famous luxury cell phones manufacturers, has launched an unlimited edition consisting of no more than 50 devices (and it’s quite enough!). Called Givori Nefertiti, the phone is inspired by the ancient Egyptian queen that is well known all around the world for her beauty. This is an antithesis, alright. The cell phone should have been at least pretty so that people could understand the connection with the famous queen.

These phones are made of 24 carat gold and numerous Swarovski crystals that contributes only to their high price. More than that, each handset from the Nefertiti collection has been handcrafted, so that no two phones look alike.
“We have a dedicated core of glamorous customers who like to have the most up-to-date style items and this extends to the look of their mobile phones. The limited edition Nefertiti phone caters to these exuberant tastesâ€, said Amine Aoude, Givori Brand Manager.
If you were a luxury cell phones manufacturer, which place would you choose for launching your collection? Dubai, isn’t it? Well, the Nefertiti limited edition is available in luxury stores in Dubai and you can make them yours for approximately $4500.

What would you say if you were a hard-working and ambitious cell phone manufacturer that tries its best to become famous and for its products to get known and appreciated by consumers and you walked by a shop window where a bright and shiny device happily smiles to the pedestrians, looking so very much like the one you’ve worked for a couple of years, but it’s not that one? People can hardly tell the difference, but you know, because you’ve been there, since day one, since the moment it was conceived. You know it ain’t your work, even if no one could ever notice the truth.

It’s not something you’d wish to happen, but it does. The tragedy is when the fakes turn out to be better products than the real ones. This could easily turn into a huge disappointment, couldn’t it?

A relevant example is the device I’m about to tell you about: the Barbie P520. The clamshell phone had the chance to see the light of day in the land of cloned mobile phones. I can’t believe you’re raising your eyebrows, as if you didn’t know what land I am talking about. There’s no country to be compared with China when it comes to cloning cell phones. And, as I’ve already said before, the merit these manufacturers have is that they prove themselves to be able to create better devices than the original models.

The Barbie P520’s design is based on Mattel’s Barbie B2 MP3 player and it’s not, as you might have already guessed, sponsored by Mattel. Proving a crass lack of inspiration, the box features the harmonious silhouette of the doll, the logo and a tag line that says “Barbie Music Phoneâ€. The P520 is quite impressive for a fake, if you know what I mean. Thus, as for the features, they include GSM 900/1800 MHz, 2.0-inch display with a resolution of 176x220 pixels, a 1.3 megapixel camera, two SIM cards support, microSD card support for expandable memory, MP3 and MP4 functionalities and Bluetooth connectivity.

Measuring 60 x 63 x 21 millimeters and weighing 110 grams, the Barbie cell phone provides up to 120-180 minutes of call time and up to 100-160 hours stand-by time. If cloning cell phones is your thing, then you might be interested and willing in spending 780 yuan ($113) for the fake Barbie Music phone, which is more expensive than the real one with approximately $30.

Maybe mobile phones addicts are waiting for other handsets, based on ground-breaking technologies and incorporating all sorts of high-class features, but they can also satisfy with other choices that will be available until the end of this year. Take Telus Mobility, for example, the national telecommunications company based in Canada. They recently announced a brand new texting device, the ZTE TXTster.
The flip phone is a message-centric device and even if it doesn’t come with a QWERTY keyboard, you can easily see the Fastap keypad and the eZIType, which are designed especially for those who want to compose text messaged at the blink of an eye. Better than a regular handset. So, as far as the Fastap is concerned, we’re talking about an input method that offers the user small keys in between larger numeric keys.

The Telus mobile phone is actually pretty well equipped. Therefore, it has on board a 1.3 megapixel camera that features stunning flash and video capabilities, an internal TFT display with a resolution of 220 x 176 pixels and 262k colors, an external CSTN display with a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels and 65k colors, Bluetooth connectivity, EV-DO connectivity (1.9 GHz/800MHz), GPS navigation and a microSD memory card support, that allows you to increase the storage capacity.
Weighing approximately 100 grams and measuring 99 x 50 x 18.5 millimeters, the new texting device provides up to 180 minutes of digital talk time and up to 120 hours of digital stand-by time.

The phone comes in package with ZTE D90 Fastap handset, a Lithium-Ion battery, AC power adapter and stereo handset with in-line MP2 controls. If you’re interested, then you can grab the Telus mobile phone from the company’s official website, for $29.99 on a three year agreement, $79.99 for a two year agreement and $179.99 for one year agreement. If, on the other hand, you’d like to have it without a contract, the price is a little bit higher, $229.99.

Ask the first person you run into to tell you at least one luxury cell phones manufacturer and you’d probably be answered with one of these companies: Vertu, that needs no additional description whatsoever, GoldVish or maybe Mobiado. But what about BELLPERRE? If the name doesn’t ring a bell to you, let me tell you that we’re talking about a Netherlands-based company that designs, develops and sells high-class cell phones aimed at those who enjoy having expensive devices and amazing people around them.

Trying to satisfy the needs of an exigent public, BELLPERRE creates sophisticated handsets that are meant to increase the mobile experience of the users. A very important aspect, fundamental I might say, is that you won’t get the chance to find not even a single piece made of plastic. The materials used in the production of the mobile phones are all authentic, including leather, steel or hard wood. Not to mention the sapphire crystal, the gold or the encrusted diamonds. The sapphire crystal, for example, is found on the display, to prevent it from scratching. In order to provide these luxury mobile phones with durability and strength, the frame is made of metals like aluminum, steel or titanium.

BELLPERRE has just released three new fully customizable models, called Yellow Gold, Rose Gold and the Silver Edition, that are part of the Silver and Golden (24k) BELLPERRE collection. No matter the design you prefer, you can also choose from a variety of genuine exotic leathers (100, more precisely), such as crocodile, shark, lizard and buffalo, the one that suits the best your personality. In addition, the company has also released a collection of six adorable gemstones that are meant to adorn your BELLPERRE device in the best way they possibly can.

When it comes to the features, the Tri band ones (900/1800/1900 MHz) phones are equipped with stereo Bluetooth, miniUSB, 2-inch 176x220 pixels TFT display made of unscratchable Sapphire Crystal and a camera with camcorder and video player. Compatible with Windows Mobile, the BELLPERRE mobile phones measure 100 x 44 x 15.5 millimeters and weigh 120 grams.

As far as the pricing is concerned, there is no information available, but I suppose a device like this will be expensive enough to be bought by a very exclusivist public.
(Thanks for the tip, Ted!)
