Nokia N95 Review Feedback

Nokia in general has a good reputation worldwide and not by mistake has been declared the best cell phone manufacturer in the world. The company has been leader on the market for quite some time, even though it has faced some problems along the way. But everybody is perfect and you can’t satisfy all users. There are big fans of Nokia phones, but there are also some who disagree with the technology used and with the models released.

Nokia N95 has made quite an impression when it was released, because it features a very interesting design and it incorporates more. If you are in a look-out for an all-purpose mobile phone, with messaging capabilities, multimedia, navigation and imaging as well, then perhaps this is the right choice for you.

Nokia N95 review received good feedback points, the headset being very appreciated by its users. It is true that the price might be a bit high for some, but you can’t overlook all the phone has to offer. And if you want some upgrades, you can check out the newer model, Nokia N95 8GB, which brings in discussion some innovative points. But back to our Nokia N95 review, the phone is appreciated for its camera capabilities, GPS satellite navigation, mini USB, dual-slider design, stereo speakers and WLAN. On the other hand, this headset has received some criticism as well, when it comes to the battery life, slow performance when you are multitasking and if you want to benefit from some other GPS features, you will have to pay extra. But let’s talk more about the design, as being one of the attractive aspects. The phone might be considered thick, measuring 99 by 53 by 21 mm when closed, but you can see it another way: the phone is solid and you will be feeling it sturdy enough. The two-way slider design features at one end the media controls and on the other end the keypad.

On the back of the phone you will find the 5 megapixels camera with Carl Zeiss lens and auto-focus. In order to activate the camera you will have to switch the cover down. You can take some high-quality pictures and you have a lot of editing options to choose from. If you download some Nokia N95 applications online, you can even upload the pictures and video you record directly on your blog on various websites. Nokia N95 also comes with 1GB card in the box, offering you enough space to store media files and other software. As a major drawback, the battery life is poor. If you use the phone for more than just talking and texting, and you will definitely do, you will have to charge it daily. And it is understandable, taking into account that the screen has a high resolution, you have plenty of features as well.

Using the GPS you can establish your locations, download maps, get information about various businesses. Download Google Maps and you will have a killer combo for your navigating need. Having a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can plug in your very own headphones and enjoy music or watch some great videos. The phone is clearly appreciated and received a lot of good points, especially for imaging.

Nokia Morph

Maybe it is useless to say that mobile phones or technology has evolved so much over the years. We can still remember the days when it was a luxury to have a cell phone. We walked on the streets proudly with our antenna Nokia phone, so big and chunky, but how proud were to have one.

And now, now we feel proud only if we have the latest gadgets, the latest technology. Mobile phones are not a luxury anymore, they are a necessity. Touch screen phones, smartphones, what will they come up next? Well, to get an idea, Nokia Morph might be the next revolution in the industry of cell phones. The biggest cell phone company in the world has teamed up with the Cambridge University in order to come up with a new, breathtaking concept. If you take a look at the pictures, you will not be able to guess a lot about what is happening, but here you will get the main ideas.

Nokia Morph is a new concept, which implies advanced technologies and benefits for every one of us: nanoscale technology will open new gates and introduce us in a whole new world. And what has mobile phones have to do with it and what are the advantages? Well, to start with, the materials and the flexible technology will perfectly blend with our busy life-style, you will not have to clean the devices anymore, not even from dust because they will be self-cleaning and self-preserving. Even the aesthetic will be changed, because with the transparent look, you will feel like in one of those SF movies.

You will not have to charge the phones daily or often, because the smaller batteries will be longer lasting and the incorporated solar-absorption will charge the devices. And everything is for the sake of the environment, we will become more self-conscious, the integrated sensor will learn us more about the things around us and will make us take better choices. And if you think that sky-high prices are involved, it is not the case. Nokia Morph will cost less, provide increased functionality and will enable communication is new and improved ways. Nanotechnology is being already used in some industries and still in development, it is said to revolutionize everything. Mobile phones will also be elastic and they will mold depending on how we keep the device in our hands. You can fold the phone to place it in your pockets and if you unfold it, you will be able to see more information and even benefit from keyboards and ouch-pads. Because all the materials are biodegradable, they are ecologically-friendly and we will do more for the environment. Maybe the self-cleaning concept might be hard to believe, nanostructured surfaces repeal water, dirt and sometimes even fingerprints, seen already in “nanoflowers” and natural systems.

The surface of the device can be a natural source of energy. We can learn about the air pollution, bio-chemical traces, monitor the surroundings and the nanosensors can also tell us if the vegetables or fruits we are about to eat should be washed or not. It is a great combination between environment and technology. Nokia and Cambridge Institute are clearly on the right track in changing the world as we know it and in a good way.

Nokia N97 with Cost

Nokia N7 with cost, well actually, all mobile phones are available with cost, has indeed a high cost. The phone does come unlocked, giving you the opportunity to choose your own service provider, but it is a certain fact that unlocked mobile phones have a higher price tag. Nokia N97 is not an exception. If you are willing to spend more than $500 on a cell phone, then this would the one.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
The phone features also all you need to have in a smartphone, a full QWERTY keyboard, a beautiful display, Wi-Fi, GPS< 32GB internal memory, Bluetooth, 3G support and a 5 megapixels camera, which takes great photos. Yes, the phone seems like having it all, but in some occasions it might disappoint its public. The headset still runs on Symbian, and the user experience is not that pleasant. Sometimes, especially in navigation situations, the phone is slow and sluggish. If this is something you can’t get passed, well then you will have to look somewhere else.

Nokia N97 measures 4.6 inches tall by 2.1 inches wide by 0.6 inch thick and weights 5.29 ounces. You can’t say it is something out of the ordinary, because it still features the same-old candy-bar design, rounded corners and compact design. The resistive touch screen measures 3.5”, supports 16.7 million colors and has a pixel resolution of 640x360. You can’t say it is not bright and vivid and the colors being of high-quality, but the built-in accelerometer takes some time until it switches the phone from portrait to landscape mode. The proximity sensor will turn the display off each time you will be engaged into a call. As mentioned before, the scrolling experience is not that pleasant and on some cases you will even have to correct the actions you do. But the home screen deserves some credit. You are allowed to add up to eight widgets and you can have your favorite ones. You have the freedom to customize the screen as you want to. To be able to see the main menu, with all applications and settings, all you have to do is press the button below the screen.

When you slide the QWERTY keyboard out, you have to pay some attention on the plastic hinge. The mechanism is durable and it seems like holding up a lot of actions, just be a bit careful. The keys on the keyboard have a non-slippery touch, being tactile and easy to use. They are also nicely spaced, even though there were some complains online, so it is actually a matter of taste. You should take the phone for a spin and see if you really like keyboard. In case you don’t need to add a lot of text, just maybe enter a web address, or texting someone a short message, then you don’t have to pull out the keyboard, you can use the soft keyboard instead. When it comes to storage, Nokia n97 was the first mobile phone to add 32GB and even the chance to expand the memory up to 48GB.

You can use the phone also for navigation purpose. With the GPS included, you can get information about your location, see the direction you are leading to and you can even benefit from real-time turn by turn voice guiding directions if you spend some extra cash.

Nokia N97 for Sale

Some of the cell phones will never change their price, even though time passes and new models enter the market. And those cell phones are from the most well-known manufacturers in the world: Apple, Nokia, Samsung, BlackBerry and more. Nokia N97 is available for sale at a pretty high price, and there is some time from when the phone was launched.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

It depends also if you buy the phone unlocked or if you decide to get it with service. In the first case, the price is somewhere at around $300 and if you get it with service, it depends on the carrier and on the data plan you choose. There is also Nokia N97 mini for sale and believe it or not, in some occasions and in some places you find it at a higher price than the real-sized one. We can’t say that this mobile phone does not deserve its value, but it could have been slightly better, with a strong accent on the operating system of course.

Besides, Nokia N97 brings up in discussion the full QWERTY keyboard alo9ng with the touch screen, 32GB internal memory (being the first phone with this amount), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G support and a 5 megapixels camera. It might bring everything you need, but some just can’t get over the high price tag and the sluggish user interface. If you take into account the design, you can’t say this is a unique phone or a design you haven’t seen before, because it brings to the candy-bar design and it doesn’t have that solid build. But the fact that this mobile phone brings up the touch screen and the QWERTY keyboard, it is worth taken into consideration. The resistive touch screen measures 3.5”, supports 16.7 million colors and has a pixel resolution of 640x360. The colors are really nice and everything looks nice, but the accelerometer needs some time before turning the phone from portrait to landscape mode and vice versa. When you are engaged into a call, the proximity sensor will turn off the display.

Because the display is resistive, and you will need a bit of pressure to navigate around, what is more, the experience is not as smooth as the competitors and you will have some issues. You will scroll through documents and through long lists with short movements and not actually slide everything away. The home screen allows you to add eight widgets, choosing the ones you prefer. It is nice to have such freedom or customizing the home screen as you like it. It you want to see the entire list with applications and settings, just press the bottom below the display. The QWERTY keyboard looks nice and has spaced keys, but it is a matter of taste actually. Some of the users like it and some disapprove with it, so you might try it yourself and see the results.

Nokia N97 internal memory can even be expanded to 48GB, but it would be too much. There are though, tons of applications, games online you can download and they take a lot of space. But this depends on your needs and for what you are going to use the phone. for what the camera is concerned, pictures taken are definitely high-quality.

Nokia Phones

Because Nokia is the top-leading company in cell phone industry, having a model of their phones is something. You can say each phone has something different. The company offers a bit of everything: classic phones, slider, with full QWERTY, touch screens, smartphones. Nokia phones are also categorized depending on their use: you have multimedia phones, business, everyday use, designed for the use of camera, for Internet, messaging and so on.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

All these make Nokia phones popular and wanted by everyone. But recently, with the new smartphones on the market, Nokia has lost a bit of area because of its operating system, Symbian. A lot of users complained the unfriendliness of the system and that it caused many serious headaches. When it comes to a touch screen phone, the navigating experience is not very pleasant and even the interface could use some improvements. Nokia n8 is a good example of a smartphone having all and maybe the most important one, after the iPhone of course.

It might bring the amazingly large display, the 12 megapixels camera, and any feature you can think of, if it still runs on Symbian. But it is also rumored that the company is working on a new platform in order to fix the issue and impress the consumers once more. There is no point in taking each mobile phone in turn and analyze it, first of all it could take forever and second of all, nobody is interested in all models, but usually something in particular. The latest Nokia phones might be very attractive and all, but some have a high price, higher that you can ever imagine. Nokia N8 is one of them, but we can say it is worth it, as long as you don’t mind spending that much on a single gadget. Nokia N900 is another model rated by users, bringing a 3.5” touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixels camera, 32GB internal memory. What is to appreciate on this phone is the new operating system, Maemo, which promises a lot, including the new applications yet to be developed.

The long description of the phone points out that we are not talking about a simple headset, but more of a mini pocket computer, with powerful features to satisfy the pickiest users. The keyboard is very nice, has great IM features, fast user interface, useful and handy web browser, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity and a gorgeous display. It is a known fact that mobile phones with QWERTY keyboards are designed to be messaging phones and business. Especially if we are talking about Nokia Eseries. Nokia E72 is one of these cell phones, bringing one of the best keyboards, great connectivity and a solid construction, making the phone comfortable when you hold it.

If you are looking for a rather slim and easy to use phone, then Nokia E55 might be for you. It features a long battery life, hybrid keypad, but perhaps the Series 60 operating system might be considered out of date. If you got bored of the candy-bar designed cell phones, then you might feel an attraction towards the Xseries. And Nokia X6 is a good example, combing style and powerful features in a single headset. It incorporates a 3.2” touch screen, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, a 5 megapixels camera and Symbian operating system.
