Nokia N95 is an multifunctional phone; it has a great 5 megapixels camera which you can use to record videos as well, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a very interesting dual-slide design. You will have to sacrifice the battery life, because having so many multimedia features and a big screen, will make it drain fast. And again the price is not low.

With all kind of features includes, the phone measures 3.8 inches long by 2.1 inches wide by 0.8 inch thick and weighs 4.2 ounces. It’s compact and it feels comfortable when you hold it. It looks good, but it feels a bit cheap due to the overall plastic design, and if you add the bulky part, you may say that few girls will buy this device.

One thing that will definitely attract users when discussing about Nokia N95 is its dual-slide design. When you slide the phone up, the alphanumeric keypad is revealed and when you slide the screen down, the media controls show up. It slides up easily; maybe a bit too easy considering that many carry their phone in pockets or bags and it might get activated by mistake very often. Its construction is not as sturdy as one might have expected. The display measures 2.6” QVGA TFT and supports 16 million colors; it also has a pixel resolution of 320x240. All look great on the screen, text, images, videos, photos, everything. You might even believe that it is a touch screen, but don’t get fooled by this.
There are a lot of settings that you can change regarding the display, including the themes, the backlighting time, the font size and thanks to the ambient light detector the backlighting is changed automatically depending on the environment. Another important aspect is that when you access the media controls, the phone switches automatically to landscape mode and in order to change it back to portrait you need to open the dial pad.

Below the display can be found the navigation array consisting of Talk/End buttons, two soft keys, shortcuts to the menu, Clear key, Edit key and the four-way toggle with the OK central button. All the controls are easy to use and the numeric pad presents big keys, easy to be pressed by anyone, including those with larger fingers. The buttons are very tactile and you can easily type in dark environments because they are brightly backlighted. Because this phone is a real multimedia gadget, you have the 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can connect your own headphones to it. On the right side is the volume rocker, the shortcut for the photo gallery and the camera shutter button.
On the left side can be found the headphone jack along with the infrared port and the microSD expansion port. The camera lens is on the back, covered and on the bottom of the device are the power connector and the mini USB port. The 5 megapixels camera on this Nokia n95 has Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens and with all the options included to edit photos you can really consider this phone a digital camera. Some of the options include flash, red-eye reduction, self-timer, quality settings and the possibility to take multiple shots at once. Photos look impressive with bright colors and very clear lines.

The battery is rated at four hours for talk time and of up to nine days in stand-by mode.
