Again this application is free for Nokia users. Everybody needs to check their e-mails often and it kind of become an obsession. 6300 Nokia

Nokia 6300 is a simple, basic phone that respects all its specifications and what is more it does provide a tactile experience. With all the fuss with the latest trends in technology we meet in smart phones or touch screen phones, sometimes we just need simple things in our mobile world and Nokia is a company that knows this. Aside from the fact it has some phones with amazing features, they don’t forget about users looking for the basics.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
Some quick specs about the Nokia 6300 are the candybar design, 2 megapixels camera, USB port, 128 MB of internal memory, but you can expand it using the microSD card slot. This phone is considered one of the most tactile around. It has a slim design wrapped in stainless steel. Once you add the black accents and the big display, you will just love how this phone feels in your hands. It is very well constructed and feels solid thanks to the steel used. Controls are easy to use, like most Nokia phones. Keys are spaced especially around the four-way rocker and Enter key. You will navigate easily through the menu, especially being so big. Main features include the camera and the MP3 playback, but unfortunately it does not have a shutter button or Play. If you want multimedia, you can have a slight part of it, because there is a FM radio, Web browser and media files supported include WMA, MP3 and AAC.

Because it does not have power-eating widgets or applications, the battery life is pretty good. If you use it for just talking and text messaging and why not take one or two pictures, you will see the battery can last even for five days. Call quality is also very good when it comes to Nokia phones. If you want to listen to music, there are earphones supplied and a 2.5mm headset adaptor in case you want to plug in your own headphones. Menu is very different if you think of mobile phones, you can certainly distinguish it from Nokia and Sony Ericsson.

But the menu found on Nokia 6300 could be a reliable choice for both camps. There are menu options which you can select using one or two clicks and you won’t have to do so much scrolling around. Using the four-way rocker, you can set shortcuts to whatever you like from the menu, for example camera applications, messaging, music playing and so on. The camera found on this mobile phone is quite good and it takes really nice pictures.

Of course, like any other phone it might have some drawbacks, and in this case it includes the tendency to mark. On the back of the phone you ca see a design resembling a piano, well that section is preferable to scratch sooner and easier than you think. And the stainless steel design isn’t so resistant when it comes to dropping it. If you happen to do so, the phone will either come off completely or you will find a small scratch in the steel if you re lucky. But once you take good care of it, you won’t have any problems as this is a reliable and useful phone with basic functions.

N97 Reviews

Nokia n97 has been rated to be the equal match and sometimes even better than the iPhone. It is one powerful device, with amazing processor and spacious internal memory to satisfy even the pickiest user. There are so many features that makes it unique and some of them include the touchscreen and the full QWERTY keyboard, has 3G support, Bbluetooth, Wi-Fi and a great 5 megapixels camera. Other than the high price it comes we can’t say so many bad things about it, after the review you’ll see for yourself.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
In matter of design, Nokia n97 is very srylish and thin also. It measures 4.6 inches tall by 2.1 inches wide by 0.6 inch thick and it weights 5.29 ounces. The construction is solid and when you slide the QWERTY keyboard out you feel it steady and not at all lose. The touchscreen has 3.5” and shows 16.7 million colors at a 640x360 pixel resolution. The images are very clear and bright, clearer than the iPhone actually. The proximity sensor available will turn off the display when you are talking over the phone, that is if you put it to your ear. The bad thing in this case is the touch sensitivity; it is not quite as receptive.

You will have to firmly tap in order to receive the command. You will have to double check when you are writing something or entering applications, so you don’t have any surprises. Some menus respond to one tap, but some requite two taps, it can get confusing at some point. What is more scrolling through long lists is done with short movements and again a bit uncomfortable.

The home screen is improved, and you can choose to customize it as you like. You can put all applications you want on the screen and with just one touch you can have access to them. You can have about 8 widgets on your screen, arranging them cane done easily. You can put Facebook on your screen, contacts, Web pages, messages, maps, media player and so on.

There is a task manager available that allows you to see all your open applications and switch them. Nokia n97 has 32GB available as internal memory, being the largest amount seen in any phone at this moment. What is more you can even add an extra 16GB using the microSD card slot and have a total of 48GB.

You will need all of it to store all the applications you will find available. It uses the Symbian operating system, and it might not be as good as Google Android or Apple’s operating system as it has not been updated for touch interface. It could have been improved or used another one instead, as this one feels outdated. Some words about the 5 megapixels camera, it has Carl Zeiss lens and dual LED Flash, autofocus and 4x digital zoom. You can choose from various camera options and record MPEG-4 videos.

The 1500mAh lithium ion battery lasts 95 hours in talk time and 17.9 days in standby. Of course the call quality is great, as expected in all Nokia phones. This phone is internet friendly as all smartphones nowadays are. Another good thing about Nokia n97 is the Ovi store, where you can get all your applications.
