Coming though AT&T, the Nokia 6085h looks almost similar with the T-Mobile’s Nokia 6086, but in reality, these two cell phones are very different. The Nokia 6085h is another mid-level mobile phone which comes equipped with many usual features, enough to satisfy the needs of a teenager. Even if it doesn’t have spectacular multimedia features, the Nokia 6085h impresses with its beautiful design, a pleasant to touch finish and a low price. Costing only $169, this cell phone comes in standard package only with standard accessories like a charger, headphones, a USB cable and some manuals.

As we said, the Nokia 6085h looks nice. It is a clamshell handset which comes with a case made of resistant plastic, nicely painted in a combination between black and silver. Measuring 92 x 46 x 23 mm in dimensions and 84 grams in weight, it has proven to be a very portable and practical phone. The case presents a rectangular shape and rounded edges feeling comfortable in your hands. When it is closed, on the external front side you will notice a 1 inch monochrome display which has a native resolution of 96 x 98 pixels. This display will offer you information about time, date, signal and battery levels and caller ID. On the sides of the phone you will find two volume buttons, a camera shutter, a microSD card slot plus the headset jack and charger / USB port.

On the interior of the phone you will find a 1.8 inch TFT display which has a native resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and support for 262K colors. This display offer good quality images with sharp colors and a good brightness. A disappointing aspect of this display is that it is not visible under direct sunlight. Below the display is placed a standard numerical pad. This numerical pad includes also some navigation buttons like two soft keys, the call and end buttons and a 5-way button. The numerical pad is composed by large and flat keys, and even if these keys are made of cheap plastic, they offer a positive feedback when they are pressed. Being very responsive, these keys will offer you a comfortable typing experience.

For multimedia capacities, the
Nokia 6085h comes with a VGA camera capable of taking pictures at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. Even if this camera is poor, it is an excellent feature for a mid-level cell phone. Having a poor resolution, the photos will have a low quality and because it lacks a flash, you will not be able to take any photos in a dark environment. Anyway, this camera comes with some classic features, like white-balance, 4x digital zoom, ISO and self timer. Other multimedia features are MP3 support, FM Radio, Push-to-Talk and Voice Dial. The internal memory is low. It has only 4 MB of free space but thanks to the microSD card slot, you can extend it up to 2 GB. When it comes to connectivity, we can say that the Nokia 6085h is a Quad-Band (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) device offering an acceptable call quality with good clarity. The signal strength is amazing, so you will never be out of network area coverage. Other connectivity features which this mobile phone offers are Bluetooth and USB. The battery life of the phone is assured by a Li-Ion 970 mAh battery which keeps the phone on for 5 hours of conversations and up to 240 hours in standby mode.

When it comes to buying a good and decent cell phone, I always believed that the best models were those that did not come with any high end technology or fancy features because they are longer lasting and they come with a more decent battery life. And I still believe that the best cell phone manufacturer is Nokia. Maybe it’s because all the Nokia cell phone I have owned so far never brought any trouble and even after long periods of using them, there was nothing wrong with those mobiles. I simply got bored and traded them for other cell phones.

One of the examples for a good Nokia cell phone is the Nokia 6263, a cell phone which was released back in 2007 and can function in both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G networks (UMTS 1700 / 2100). The dimensions of this cell phone are 94.5 x 47.7 x 21.5 mm and the total weight of the mobile device is 105 grams. The display measures 2.2 inches in diagonal and it comes with a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The screen offers support for 16 M colors and there is also an external display which offers support for 256K colors and it comes with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. You can personalize both of these screen with wallpapers, downloadable screensavers and ever your own photos.

The
Nokia 6263 comes with support for MP3 ringtones but you also download polyphonic sounds and the phone also vibrates. You can use the photo call features and add pictures for different contacts on your agenda and those pictures will appear as a color ID for when you dial or receive a call from that person. The memory of the cell phone is able to give you details about the last 20 dialed, received and missed calls. Thanks to the microSD card slot, you can extend the internal memory of this device. There is no Wi-Fi integrated in this cell phone so you cannot connect to any wireless hot spots. You can, however, benefit from the integrated Bluetooth which makes file transfer a lot easier between different cell phones and even between your
Nokia 6263 and your PC or laptop.

If you wish to take pictures with this Nokia cell phone, you can use the 1.3 MP camera which features LED flash and can take photos at a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. You can also use this camera to record videos but there is no secondary camera so you have to settle for the performance of this integrated one. With your Nokia 6263 you can send SMSs, MMSs but also e-mails and instant messages. The stereo FM radio could come in handy when you want to listen to music but are tired of the MP3 tracks stored on the internal memory of the phone. There are also some included games but if these don’t satisfy you, you can download some new ones. The battery of this cell phone will keep the device on for 3 hours of talk time and about 288 hours in standby mode.

Writing a Nokia n95 review is simple if we think about the fact that this cell phone was one of the best smart phones on the market back in 2006. Equipped with a 5 mp camera, a built-in GPS receiver, Bluetooth stereo support and 802.11b/g WLAN support, this Nokia n95 review is going to reveal the fact that even an older cell phone can compete with some modern day smart phones.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
The Nokia N95 has 99 x 53 x 21 mm in dimensions and a total weight of 120 g. The TFT display of this phone can support 16 million colors, measures 2.6 inches and it has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The phone is quite big, but the smart phones are big in general, so if you want to own one, you have to make some sacrifices. The N95 Nokia cell phone is equipped with a dual slide which looks pretty good and the phone appears to be shorter. If you slide the phone up, you will discover the keypad and when you slide it down, you will find a series of 4 dedicated media playback keys: the play / pause key, the stop key, the next track key and the previous track key.

On the front side of the phone, under the display, we can find two soft keys, the Send and End button, the Menu and Multimedia button, the Edit and C keys, and slightly above the display there is a small, secondary camera used for video calls. On the bottom of the phone we can find the charger connector and a mini-USB port. On the upper part, we have the On / Off button, also used to change the profiles. The left side of the phone contains an infrared port, a covered microSD card slot, a 3.5 mm audio / video connector that can be used for TV output and one of the two stereo speakers. On the right side we have the other stereo speaker and 3 buttons: the Volume rocker switch, a button for accessing the Gallery and a two-stage camera shutter button: half press to focus and full press to take a photo.

The Nokia N95 cell phone has a function that impressed me. On the top of the phone, next to the front camera a light sensor is located. When the light from the external environment reaches a certain level, the keypad will automatically light up. Nokia N95 is powered by an ARM11-based Texas Instruments OMAP2420 processor running at 330 MHz. The same processor can also be found on his little brother, the Nokia N93/N93i cell phone. The phone comes in the box next to a handful of accessories. Next to the manual, the charger and a Software CD, we also found an USB cable, a memory card and a TV Out cable. The memory card can be a 128 or 512 MB one. If you want to buy this phone, it comes at a starting price of $400, the Nokia N95 is still a good deal, even if it’s an old Nokia cell phone.

Writing a Nokia 5300 review is going to be easy especially since I have to admit that I was a proud user of this phone for about 8 months. My interaction with the Nokia 5300 was special in so many ways because I wanted a cell phone that would allow decent audio playback so it could actually replace an MP3 player and I got just what I asked for (with some minor exceptions, of course).
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
At a certain point, I started to think that the Nokia 5300 is better of an audio playback device that it is an actual cell phone. One thing I never really liked about this phone is the fact that it’s really thick and when you wear it in your pocket, you can spot it from miles away. The size of the cell phone is 92.4 x 48.2 x 20.7 mm and it comes with 106 grams in weight. The 2.1 inch display was not spectacular, even if it offered support for 256K colors. It came with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. One great thing about this cell phone is that you can fully customize it by adding different themes and wallpapers, screensaver and ring tones and you could really feel that the Nokia 5300 reflected some parts of your personality.

Aside from supporting vibration alerts, this cell phone could allow you to download polyphonic ringtones but the MP3 ringtones are always more fun. The internal memory of this cell phone is 5 MB but since it comes with a microSD card slot, I bought a 2 GB card and then I added all my favorite songs on my cell phone and with a decent pair of headphones, I could listen to music whenever and wherever I wanted. Not only does this phone come with an integrated Infrared but using the Bluetooth features, you and your friends can exchange songs between your cell phones, not to mention pictures, clips, themes and other stuff like that.

The 1.3 MP camera was terrible. Even if it could take pictures at a 1280 x 1024 pixels resolution, the quality of the images left a lot to be desired as the
Nokia 5300 is not a camera cell phone. The phone offers support for sending SMS, MMS and even instant messages. If you ever get tired of listening to the songs stores on your phone, you can always switch to the FM radio and listen to the new track that are in the top 20 at the moment. The player on the
Nokia 5300 offers support for MP3, AAC, AAC+ and SpMidi file formats. It has regular features like reminders and voice memos. There are some games preinstalled on this cell phone but you could download and install a lot more. The
Nokia 5300 would be a great mp3 player… if only the battery life was not this terrible. Imagine that the talk time provided by the Li-Ion 860 mAh (BL-5B) battery was only 3 hours and the standby mode was 223 hours.

Before reading this review, we should let you know that the Nokia 6310 is a very old mobile device. Remember those cell phones that have the size and shape of a brick? Well, the Nokia 6310 is not very far from those models since it is an outdated device that no one buys anymore.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
This cell phone offers 2G network support for GSM 900 / 1800 and it is about 8 years old. The dimensions of this cell phone are 129 x 47 x 19 mm while the total weight is 111 grams. There is nothing appealing as far as the design of the Nokia 6310 goes. It is quite a boring cell phone with bronze and grey combinations. One thing we did appreciate about this cell phone is the fact that it came with big buttons which are easy to press and the space between them is great especially for people with small hands because this way you can be sure that you are not going to press 3 buttons instead of one. The display is not a colored one as it offers monochrome graphics and it comes at a resolution of 96 x 65 pixels. It can show a maximum of 6 lines of text in one message and if we were to compare it even with the weakest phone released in 2010 up until now, everyone would laugh for hours.

But leaving all jokes aside, the
Nokia 6310 was a great cell phone back in those days when you needed a mobile phone which would could rely on, which would never let you down by running out of battery, a phone that always has a strong signal and that you could use to make calls with clear sound. As for the alert types, the phone offers no support for MP3 ringtones but it does have the vibration feature and you can download monophonic ringtones. You can even set up personal ringtones to every group of people that you have configured from your contacts list. Speaking of contacts, the
Nokia 6310 offers enough space for you to store 500 contact names and for each name you can save up to 3 different phone numbers. The call records function is capable of giving you details on the last 10 dialed, received and missed calls. You can also setup the voice dialing function but it will only work for 10 contacts from your agenda.

The
Nokia 6310 is capable of storing 150 text messages even if there is no included card slot so you cannot extend the memory of the cell phone. The phone offers zero support for 3G or wireless connections but you can connect to the internet via WAP 1.2.1. The phone has no integrated camera so taking pictures is out of the question as well. you can benefit from other office functions like voice record, organizer, clock or agenda. As for the battery performance, you should know that the
Nokia 6310 can stay on for 5 hours and 30 minutes of conversation time and about 430 hours in standby mode.
