Pantech launched the Sky IM-S250L cell phone in Korea and from what we’ve heard it features a 1.3MP built-in camera, MP3 player and an electronic dictionary.
Its display is a QVGA type and the whole phone is in a white housing.
Another feature of the slider type phone is the Internet radio capability.

Unfortunately, we don’t have enough information to tell you exactly when it will be released outside Korea.

While surfing on the Internet this morning in looking for some tech news, I’ve found this phone model with a new feature and thought you might be interested to hear about it too.

You’ve probably heard about the Japan mobile phone provider KDDI.
Well it has just unveiled the A1407PT handset, created by Pantech, the one who introduced CDMA2000 1xEV-DO.
The handset seems a common phone, with 3G support, a 2.4 inch QVGA LCD and a 1.3MP camera.
But besides that the model is featuring bone-conduction based voice calling, which means it conducts the sound to the inner ear through the skull bones.
Let me explain a bit this concept.
Bones are better electricity conductors than the surrounding tissue.
With sound, things are the same.
You know very well that your own voice sounds very different when played back after being recorded.
This is because the lower frequencies tend to be amplified, and most of you perceive your own voice as being of a lower pitch than it actually is.
The KDDI A1407PT is among the few phones built with this characteristic.
It happens when you press the speaker to the head, and so you’ll hear the sound waves coming out, through your skull.
This is not an expensive phone, and costs just $165.

Pantech have recently launched their first HSDPA phone, SKY IM-U210/U210K, that comes with impressive performances and an appealing fresh, stylish design.
The slider phone has an elegant design, with the metallic accents as a plus. Moreover, the SKY IM-U210/U210K has some of its navigation keys chromium plated and also continues with a cold metallic look. The lack of smooth and curvy lines makes this phone excellent for both men and women. Moreover, the navigation keys come with an interesting design and outstanding personality.
Although the exact size is yet unknown, the display screen is large. The phone also has a 2 megapixel camera that provides average quality pictures.
The SKY IM-U210/U210K has HSDPA capabilities and it also comes with a breakthrough performance, as it brings data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, as few other devices can provide for their users.
The phone also includes WCDMA global roaming and an electronic dictionary, features to appeal the users who travel much. Moreover, useful capabilities are also available, such as text viewer and multitasking. An MP3 player is capable of rendering sound at a fairly high quality.
SKY IM-U210/U210K will be available in Korea for the retail price of 500,000 KRW.
