Samsung prepares a new 3G slider, the Samsung Z360. The handset appeared on the FCC website and on some European websites and supports EDGE and Bluetooth. The phone will also feature a 176x220 pixels, 262K colors TFT display, a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture and MP3 player. Images and songs can be stored on it's 30 MB of internal memory extandable with microSD memory cards.
It seems like the Samsung Z360 will be available this fall, but no word yet on pricing.
Samsung took the next step in enhancing the multimedia side of their phones and decided to intergrate 5.1 channel audio on upcoming FX series, the Samsung SPH-M4500 and Samsung SCH-M450. And relax, this doesn't mean the phones will have 5 speakers and a subwoofer attached, the tecnology just mixes the channels down to a stereo virtual surround effect for your listening pleasure.
That sounds very interesting you have to admit. Plus DMB tuner music player, which can draw off internal memory or microSD expansion, WiFi, front-facing VGA and rear 2-megapixel cams make a very interesting offer. No word though on worldwide release.
Samsung introduced two new slider phones, the Samsung X530 and Samsung E250.
Samsung X530 has a similar design with Samsung SGH-D900 model. The X530 is another slider phone from Samsung with a slimmer body. The phone features a 64k colors screen and support EDGE connection. Not much information is revealed, but it should have a music player, VGA camera, Bluetooth, and IrDA connection.
The Samsung E250 features a music player with a micro SD card slot that supports MP3, AAC, AAC+ playback. No further information related to this phone.
Although it's roughly the same size as the RAZR V3 and V3i, the styling of the Samsung V804SS is very close to the 3G RAZR V3x. You can't help but think that Samsung have been somewhat cheeky in the styling of this phone - but it's not really a copy of the Motorola handsets.. it's more a case of Samsung saying "look - this is how it should be done".
Inside, the 804SS has a 320x240 pixel TFT display in 262,000 colours (similar to the one in the RAZR V3x), has a 1.3 megapixel camera (similar to the RAZR V3i, but not as the 3G RAZR V3x), it has an impressive 140Mb of internal memory, but this is not expandable (both the RAZR V3i and V3x have expandable memory). Unlike the Motorola handsets, the Vodafone 804SS comes with external media controls.
Exclusively available on T-Mobile's network and endearingly slender, the Samsung Trace (or T-519) is a measly 3″ thick - that's half of a Motorola RAZR.
The t519 has a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, quad-band GSM, EDGE, speakerphone, and micro SD expansion slot. Availability should be September 19, like the schedule says, unless things have changed since then.
