It comes with a classic candy-bar case made of resistant plastic beautiful covered with a glossy black surface. Sony Ericsson Phones

When you are on the market looking to buy some Sony Ericsson phones, we have got a couple of suggestions for you. We will not speak about their prices since the price of a cell phone depends if you are going to buy it with plans, in which case the cell phone is a lot cheaper. We are going to present, in brief, some of the coolest Sony Ericsson phones that you can currently find on the market.

One of my favorite Sony Ericsson phones is the XPERIA X10 mini pro, a beautiful smart phone with a superb display and an even more amazing QWERTY keyboard. It measures 90 x 52 x 17 mm in dimensions and 120 g in weight. The 2.55 inch display is gorgeous as it supports 16M colors and it has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Aside from that amazing keyboard, this cell phone has a lot of other amazing things to offer like a scratch resistant surface, an accelerometer for auto rotate and a phonebook that can store an unlimited number of contact information.

The internal memory of the cell phone is as low as 128 MB but with the microSD card slot which is available, you can extend the memory of the phone up to 16 GB. The camera of this cell phone has 5 megapixels and it features autofocus and LED flash. Using it, you can take pictures at a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels and it can also record clips at 30 fps. This phone can be used for almost anything you can imagine. The XPERIA X10 mini pro, aside from having a great mp3 player and video player as well, it supports maps, document viewers, Google Talk, YouTube, Gmail and a lot of other stuff that you can think of. With the standard battery, this cell phone can stay on for about 4 hours of conversations and 360 hours in stand-by mode.

Another one of the Sony Ericsson phones that I have always been fascinated about is the Sony Ericsson Aspen which some people also refer to as the Sony Ericsson Faith. The dimensions of this cell phone are 117 x 60 x 12.5 mm and the total weight is 130 g. the touch screen measures 2.4 inches in diagonal and it has a native resolution of 320 x 240 pixels plus support for 16M colors. The internal storage capacity of this cell phone is 100 MB but thanks to the microSD card slot included, you can extend the memory of you Aspen cell phone to a maximum of 16 GB. The camera included on this mobile device is not as powerful as the one on the XPERIA presented above. It has only 3.15 megapixels and it can take photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Other features of this cell phone are the ability to support the Pocket Office suite which includes most of the applications found in the Microsoft Office package and other great programs like Skype and Google Maps. With the standard battery, the cell phone will stay on for about 8 hours of talk time and even an amazing 600 hours in stand-by mode.

W580 Sony Ericsson Mobile

The W580 Sony Ericsson mobile has to be one of the coolest cell phones Sony Ericsson has ever launched simply because it comes with a great combination between white, orange and just a pinch of black and it makes it look amazing in your hand. Thanks to this design features, the W580 Sony Ericsson mobile is bound to attract some looks of people passing nearby in the coffee shop and even on the street.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
But since you can’t just make a shopping decision based on design when it comes to a cell phone, let us take a quick look and see what the W580 Sony Ericsson mobile has to offer in terms of specifications. The first thing you should know about this cell phone is that it has only support for 2G networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900). The dimensions of this cell phone are 99 x 47 x 14 mm and the total weight is 94 g. the display measures 2.0 inches in diagonal and it offers support for 256,000 colors. The resolution of this small display is 240 x 320 pixels. This cell phone was resealed back in July of the year 2007 so don’t expect to see the high end technology features that you get in modern cell phones.

On the other hand, the W580 Sony Ericsson mobile is not from the prehistoric ages either. It can support mp3 files and as for the other alert types, we have vibrations, AAC ringtones and even a composer, not to mention the downloadable polyphonic. The internal memory of the W580 Sony Ericsson mobile is very low and there is not anything that you could do with the included 12 MB of memory. Thankfully, this cell phone comes with a Memory Stick Pro card slot which allows you to extend the memory of the cell phone even up to 4 GB. The phonebook cannot hold unlimited contacts like most Sony Ericsson new cell phones can, but it can support about 1000 of them and I think it’s quite enough because I’m sure you don’t have 1000 people that you need to call frequently. The Photo Call feature will allow you to assign photos to your contacts and the picture will be displayed when you call that person or when he or she calls you. The phone is also able to show you the last 30 received, dialed plus missed calls.

Just as we expected, aside from the fact that the W580 Sony Ericsson mobile offers no 3G support, it also lacks the wireless that we have gotten used to seeing on new cell phone models. You do get an integrated Bluetooth, an FM radio and a 2 MP camera which is able to take photos at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. The walkman music player, Track ID music recognition and calories counter are just some of the features offered by this cell phone. As far as battery life goes, this cell phone will stay on for about 9 hours of talk time and about 370 hours in stand-by mode.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a

Making a spectacular impression, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a, launched in February of 2009, manages to stay strong in the battle for the best smartphone on the market. Even if there are many other smartphones which come with powerful features and great performance, the X1a remains very popular being the first top-rated Sony Ericsson smartphone equipped with Windows Mobile.

In our days, the smartphones which come with slide-out keyboards are very appreciated by customers. For that, Sony Ericsson designers equipped the Xperia X1a with a great full QWERTY keyboard. The case of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a is a slider one and it is made of resistant plastic. Measuring 110.5 x 52.6 x 17 mm in dimensions, it is the slimmest smartphone that comes with a QWERTY keyboard.  The weight is another great aspect for this smartphone. It weighs 145 grams, a small value for such a powerful and well-equipped handset. The case is available in two colors, black and silver, colors which make the phone look solid and compact. Anyway, with rounded edges this smartphone feels comfortable in your hands. The front side of the phone is occupied by a huge touch screen and some navigation buttons: two soft keys, the Talk and End keys, an X1 panel key, an Ok button, and an optical joystick. Above the display are placed a speaker, a secondary camera for video calls and an ambient light sensor. On the sides of the phone you will notice several multimedia buttons including a volume rocker, a camera shutter, a miniUSB port, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a Power On / off button. The QWERTY keyboard will be revealed by sliding the case. This keyboard contains large keys, very responsive, properly delimited and with a pleasant finish. With it you will feel very comfortable writing messages or other texts, making you love this smartphone.

Because it is a top-rated smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a comes with an impressive technology. The 3.0 inches TFT resistive touch screen has a native resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and support for 65K colors. This display is excellent for watching videos offering high-quality pictures with sharp colors and great contrast. On the back side of the phone a 3.2 Megapixel camera is placed which is capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Even if it is not a very powerful camera, armed with LED flash, autofocus, touch focus and geo-tagging, this camera will offer you great quality photos with a high-level of details. The internal memory of this phone presents 512 MB of free space and thanks to the microSD card slot you can extend it up to 32 GB.

When it comes to connectivity features, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a makes a great impression. It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, miniUSB, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G, all the features which you will find on any other top-rated smartphone. Being a Quad-Band device (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) it will never run out of network area coverage. The battery life is assured by a Li-Po 1550 mAh battery which manages to keep the unit on for 6 hours of conversations and 640 hours in standby mode, both in 3G mode.

Sony Ericsson 760a

Another great Sony Ericsson Walkman phone which has been awarded on the CNET’s Best of CES, is the Sony Ericsson 760a. Like all Walkman phones, the 760a didn’t let us down and comes with many attractive features and a beautiful design. Being part of Walkman range, it is clear that it has spectacular music capabilities. Besides the music functions, it comes with motion sensor, accelerometer, support for UTMS / HSDPA bands, 3.2Megapixel camera and many others.  The retail package of the phone is somehow poor. You will receive only the phone with a battery, a charge, headphones, a USB cable and the usual software CD and manuals.

The Sony Ericsson 760a has a classic clamshell case made of resistant plastic with a pleasant to touch finish. With 103 x 48 x 15 mm in dimensions, 103 grams in weight and rounded edges, this cell phone feels very comfortable and looks compact and solid. If you don’t like the standard color (combination between silver and purple) you can choose between Rocky Silver, Fancy Red and Intense Black. The front side of the phone looks nice. There is a display here and some navigation buttons: two soft keys, the Call and End keys, a clear and a shortcut key plus a 5-way button.  Above the display a speaker is placed and two other multimedia buttons: one for opening the gallery and other for opening the last photo taken.  Sliding the phone you will find a numerical pad. This is composed by flat and large keys which being very responsive offers a comfortable typing experience. On the sides of the phone you will notice a volume rocker, a Walkman button, a pop-port and a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot.

The 2.2 inches TFT display has a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and supports 256K colors. It will offer great quality images with a good contrast and sharp colors. What is nice about this display is that it remains visible even if you use the phone under direct sunlight. On the back side, the Sony Ericsson 760a comes equipped with a 3.2 Megapixel camera capable of taking pictures at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. This camera will offer good quality photos with good details but if you are planning to take photos in a dark environment, you will be disappointed. For storing your files, the 760a comes with 40 MB of internal memory, a small value for a music phone. For that, Sony Ericsson equipped this cell phone with a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot which allows you to extend the memory up to 4 GB.

When it comes to connectivity features, the Sony Ericsson 760a comes with enough features to keep you in touch with your friends anytime. It comes with Bluetooth, USB, GPS and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. It is also a Tri-Band device (2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) so you will never run out of network area coverage. The battery life is an important aspect for a music phone. Powered by a Li-Po 930 mAh battery, this device will stay on for 4 hours of conversations, 50 hours in standby mode or up to 20 hours of music play. With all these said, for a price of $128 wouldn’t you love to own this cell phone?
