The Zylo is another Walkman Sony Ericsson cell phone which provides the best music experience ever seen on a cell phone and many social networking features to keep you in touch with your friends using, for example, Twitter, FaceBook or other similar social websites. Launched in April 2010, it comes with a price of $220, a great price for such a beautiful and practical cell phone.

The retail package of the phone is rich. Inside the box you will find the phone plus a battery, a USB cable, a charger, Walkman hands free, a hand strap, a memory card and the usual software CD plus manuals.

In terms of design, this Sony Ericsson cell phone keeps a nice and simple design. It comes with a slider case made of resistant plastic, with rounded corners and a nice black finish. The device measures 103 x 52 x 11.5 mm in dimensions and 115 grams in weight, acceptable values for a slider cell phone. The case even if it is made of plastic, looks solid and compact. The front side of the phone is occupied by a TFT display and some hardware control buttons (two soft keys, the Call and End buttons, a clear button, a shortcut key and a D-Pad). As we said, the design is somehow simple, so on the sides of the phone you will only find a camera shutter (which can be also used to open the Walkman music player), a double-button for volume and zoom and a fast-port which allows you to attach headphones, charge the phone or connect it to a PC via USB. Opening the slide mechanism, you will see the numerical pad. It is typical for a slider cell phone and contains large and flat keys, very responsive and easy to use. The keys have a pleasant to touch texture and you will feel very comfortable typing on them. The back side of the phone hosts a camera, a speaker plus a Sony Ericsson and a Walkman logo.

When it comes to technology, the Sony Ericsson Zylo comes with standard features for a mid-level cell phone designed for those people who love to listen to music. The 2.6 inch TFT display offers a great quality of images with clear colors and good contrast. It has a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and comes with support for up to 256K colors. The display also comes armed with an Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, a nice feature present on almost all new cell phones. If you want to take some photos or record some clips with this phone, the Zylo comes equipped with a 3.2 Megapixel camera. It is capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and it’s armed with autofocus and geo-tagging. Because it lacks a flash, if you want to take photos in a dark environment, the quality of images will disappoint you. The internal memory of the phone is good for a Walkman phone. It comes with 260 MB of internal space and a microSD card slot which allows you to extend it up to 16 GB.

For connectivity, the Zylo comes with Bluetooth and USB plus support for GPRS, EDGE and 3G. The battery life is assured by a Li-Ion battery which manages to keep up the phone for 4 hours of conversations and 400 hours in standby mode.
