Maria Sharapova is the first global brand ambassador for Sony Ericsson after she signed the exclusive 4-year sponsorship contract with the company.
The popular tennis player appeared on TV in several commercials for Lady Speed Stick deodorant and now is the moment for her to take the next step in her career starting with the participation in a series of Sony Ericsson costumer brand campaigns.
Many of you have seen her also in Motorola ads posing as a beautiful tennis player and promoting the pink version of Motorola RAZR and white PEBL.

Coming in a diamond reflective finish design and with new innovative features like Gesture Control, the latest Sony Ericsson Z555 cell phone is one of the products exposed at CES 2008.
The stylish clamshell offers you the easiest way to ignore calls, enhance the use of a phone camera and stop the alarm, just by waving your hand.
Besides this, it comes with a hidden OLED display that shows who is calling, ever changing themes for each season and sleek accessories to define the unique look of the cell phone, at which it adds the Diamond Black and Dusted Rose colors to fit each taste.
Other features include the FM radio, media catalogue, and a built-in 1.3MP camera with 4x digital zoom.
With the camera you can take cool snapshots while on the go and upload them directly on your blog.
Starting first quarter of 2008, the Z555i will be available on the market with support for EDGE/GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900, while the Z555 will support EDGE/GSM/GPRS 850/1800/1900 frequencies.
The detailed specifications of Sony Ericsson Z555 include Bluetooth Stereo, media player, PlayNow, 3D games, Java, video support, RSS feeds, Speaker, vibrations, e-mail, IM messaging, WAP 2.0 xHTML, while for connectivity it has a modem and USB mass storage.
It is a phone with standard weight of 95 grams that measures 95 x 49 x 16.5 mm and has a 1.9-inch TFT display with 262,144 colors and 176 x 220 pixels.
For extra memory it supports Memory Stick Micro cards.
The battery operates for up to 8.4 hours in working time.

Sony Ericsson has made available a new phone from its Walkman series, called W910i, a complex musical mobile device with which you can do a lot of things like organizing your song lists, listen to audio books and accessing podcasts.
The Vodafone customers and not only, will benefit from features like SensMe that allows you to choose the song you want to listen and create a list that fits your moods, and Shake so you can shake the phone once and a random song will start to play.

Other features include Flight Mode to let you use special functions that normally wouldn’t work in a plane, PlayNow to download a ringtone in just 3 clicks, TrackID that registers a few seconds from a song and then reveals its name, the artist’s and album’s, and many others.

The W910i that comes in Hearty Red and Noble Black colors has a large and bright TFT display of 2.4 inches and 240x320 pixels resolution that shows 262.144 colors.
Its internal memory is of 40MB but you can extend it up to 4GB with a M2 card type.
Other functions include a 2MP camera, an FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, USB, web browsing, email and the possibility to publish on your blog.

The W910i is a quad-band model working on GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/1900 and EDGE, with a battery that lasts up to 9 hours on GSM and 3 and half hours on UMTS until it needs a recharging.
This model has a price of 359 € meaning approximately $525.

Power and Associates Canadian Wireless Customer Satisfaction Study last week.
The score of 741 showed that Sony Ericsson is the first, and it had also a good ranking in features and battery function categories.
In Canada the score was of 728 for features, physical design, battery and operation factors.
