The new Sony Ericsson Z310 Fashion Phone

Sont Ericsson Z310 Phone

Sony Ericsson introduced the Sony Ericsson Z310, a clamshell design phone with a reflective exterior surface allows icons to be displayed, icons that serve as a signal every time an event takes place.

The Z310 also features light effects that can be assigned to contacts, making it easier for the user to realize exactly who is calling. Meant to be a stylish every day phone, it has some pretty basic features, including a VGA camera, MP3 ringtone support, speakerphone and Bluetooth for connectivity.

It is equipped with a 65k color STN internal screen with a resolution of 128 x 160 and a 96 x 64 pixel monochrome external display, carefully hidden under the 'hood'. Z310 will clearly be appreciated for its design and versatility, but will probably not be very interesting for users who would like to find more than calling and texting capabilities in a mobile phone.

The Sony Ericsson Z310 will come in three colors, JetSet Black, Lush Pink and Brush Bronze and can best be described as a low-end fashion phone.

Review: Sony Ericsson W850 Walkman Slider

Sony Ericsson W850 Review

Being the first slider style handset from the company released outside Japan, the Sony Ericsson W850 is part of Sony Ericsson's plan to diversify its product line. With a total of three Walkman logos over its body, the W850 is obviously being pushed predominately as a music handset. Including the new Walkman 2.0 interface, today we see if the W850 lives up to it's branding.

The guys at mobileburn made a review of this phone and their conclusion is that the Sony Ericsson W850 is a pretty good all-round device. It manages to live up to the Walkman brand it bares. The full browser, long list of PIM functions, and great menu system all contribute to a pretty typical Sony Ericsson experience, which is pleasant. Extra gadgets such as TrackID, PictureDJ, VideoDJ, and MusicDJ are fun to play with. The camera is not bad either, as long as you don't record videos too often.

Apart from the average battery life, another area of concern would be the controversial design. The accessibility of the d-pad and the placement of softkeys are sacrificed for the sake of making a slider-style handset. Price wise, it will depend on which country you are in, though the company is infamous for overpricing its Walkman handsets. It might save you some money by going for the W900, which includes a larger screen and better camera as a bonus. Other phones to consider would be Motorola ROKR E2 and Nokia 5300.

Rumours about the upcoming Super Slim Sony Ericcson Ai

Sony Ericsson Ai Slim Phone

Is this really the Sony Ericsson Ai? I guess we’ll have to wait until the projected release date of early 2007 to find out. The guys at Terminal.hu seem to think this it, offering these hellishly fuzzy cameraphone shots as possible proof. Preliminarily called Ai, it's rumoured to measure 9.4mm in thickness, have a casing constructed from rubberised plastic and aluminium insets, be 3G UMTS compatible and have a 2-megapixel camera.

Sony Ericsson concept Phone

Sony Ericsson Concept Phone

This Sony Ericsson concept phone is actually designed by Torbjorn Eriksson and not by Sony Ericsson. Combining with the odd rotary keypad design, the concept phone has an ipod style dial pad for navigation purpose. You should practice more to use the handset with rotary keypad because there aren’t many phones with rotary keypad till now; getting use to it will need a long painful time.
