Sony Ericsson Clementine

Concepts are meant to make our lives more exciting than it already is, maybe because they are designed to show us how the future will look like. And you know that future is something that we have no idea about, which makes us a little bit insecure. This is why a small hint that has an even smaller connection with the future is more than welcome.

In the given context, here is what WhiteEye from Esato has prepared for each and everyone of us: a Sony Ericsson concept called Clementine. The clamshell comes with some innovative features, such as the format, which is based on “folders”, making the rotation of the display much easier that it usually is. This is why the Clementine is also known under the name of 3FOLDERSTYLE.

The concept phone is a device that is part of the mid-end range and it boasts the BRAVIA technology and support for DVB-H TV.

As for the list of specs, here we go: GSM 850/900/1800/1900, HSDPA 850/1900/2100 (no more than 7.2 Mbps) networks, a 2.8 inches TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and the RealityMAX engine, a 1.5 inch organic EL subdisplay with a resolution of 108 x 128 pixels (this one has a reflective surface), a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, photo flash, face detection and smile shutter, an internal antenna, designed to be compatible with the DVB-H TV reception, touch-sensitive keys for music playback (but they can also be used for TV broadcast), a memory stick micro slot and AccuWeather support.

But, as I said before, the Clementine is just a concept, so it’s very difficult to say whether it will ever hit the market or not. Let’s hope it will.

Along with the W205, the new Sony Ericsson walkman phone, the company announced another handset, called the Sony Ericsson S312, which is a small candybar. The phone is considered to be the successor of the previous S302 and it was known, in the past, under the name of Sony Ericsson Athena.

Presented as a cell phone that gives the users the chance to record all the special moments of their lives, you don’t need anything but your sharp eye and the dedicated video camera key. It doesn’t matter whether you saw your favorite celebrity ever walking down the street or that you’re having the time of your life at the best party of this year, the S312 is the perfect alternative that allows you to always keep these moments with you.

In addition, he said that: “The S312 also allows you to get organized and keep track of your hectic lifestyle by ensuring that you never miss another birthday and appointment again – store all your important dates, add reminders – then sit back and relax”.

In the press release, the company makes a proposition to all of those who are interested in this snapshot phone, the new Sony Ericsson Clip-on Bluetooth Handsfree VH300, a stylish device that comes with one-touch call handling, with volume control that is handier than ever and a very discreet reversible clip-on.

The S312 is expected to come in two different colors, Dawn Blue and Honey Silver, and it is said to hit the market in the second quarter of this year, which is a little bit earlier than the W205.

New Sony Ericsson walkman phone

Have I told you or have I not that affordable cell phones are the present in these tough financial times and I would dare to say that they are not only the present, but also the future, for an unlimited period of time?

new-sony-ericsson-walkman-phone-01

In the given context, Sony Ericsson is one more company to focus its attention on affordable devices, in order to survive this nightmare. They have just announced the introduction of the W205 slider phone, which is, as you can easily figure it out, just another Walkman phone.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

Part of the entry-level range of handsets, the W205 is said to be that particular Sony Ericsson handheld that can turn into “your first Walkman phone”. Not to mention the fact that it comes with incredible features for what it’s supposed to be, even if some might be disappointed by the small display and by the lack of EDGE and 3G.

As for the features, the W205 comes with the following on board: dual band GSM/HPRS connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz for the W205 and 850 / 1900 MHz for the W205a), a 1.8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and 65k colors, a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, MMS, Opera Mini Browser, walkman player, FM radio with RDS, Track ID, an internal memory of only 5MB and a memory stick micro (M2) card slot for expandable memory of no more than 2GB.

The battery provides up to 9 hours of talk time, up to 425 hours of stand-by time and approximately 13.5 hours of music playback time.

The new Sony Ericsson walkman phone is expected to become available starting the third quarter of this year in just one color version, meaning the Ambient Black. Unfortunately, there is no information about the price for the moment, but as I said, it shouldn’t cost much, as it’s an entry-level cell phone.

Sony Ericsson F305 mobile phone with FIFA 2009

Ok. I should breathe in, breathe out. Every time I hear these two words, FIFA 2009, I feel some cold shiver going down my back. I love football because I grew up in a family that worshiped, somehow, this sport, but I hate the game. And I hate it because my brother doesn’t seem to get enough with it. “EA sports, to the game!” Or at least this is what I understand.

Anyway, there are many FIFA addicts out there, and there is no doubt about it. And for all of them, here’s what Virgin Mobile has prepared: a special edition of the Sony Ericsson F305, one of the company’s most affordable slider cell phones. Being so cheap, you shouldn’t be surprised that more and more carriers decide to include in their offer.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

Now, Virgin Mobile announced the introduction of the Sony Ericsson F305 FIFA 2009 in France. The phone will come with the FIFA 2009 pre-installed in its internal memory, while other 50 titles are on a 1GB M2 card. The F305 is equipped with a motion gaming sensor, which means that playing FIFA 2009 on it will turn into the ultimate experience.

As for the features, let me refresh your memory: GSM 850/900/1800/1900, a 2.0 inch TFT display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels and 256 pixels, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, stereo FM radio with RDS, MP3 player, TrackID music recognition and a memory stick micro (M2). The F305 measures 96 x 47 x 14.6 millimeters and weighs 97.5 grams, while its battery provides up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 400 hours of stand-by time.

If you’re interested in a Virgin data plan, you’ll be able to purchase this special edition of the Sony Ericsson F305 mobile phone for only 1 Euro, but if you choose to get it on pre-pay, it will cost you 129 Euros.

Details about the phone becoming available in other countries are unknown for the moment.

Maria Sharapova photos for the Sony Ericsson T707

Remember the Sony Ericsson T707 I was telling you about a couple of weeks ago? It was a brand new Sony Ericsson handset that leaked on the Internet before the official announcement. The phone, also known as “Elle”, is a clamshell that made its appearance in the Chinese market. The Swedish-Japanese company decided to make it official and, in order to do that, they found a famous character to present it worldwide.

So, if you wondered what in earth these Maria Sharapova photos are doing in an article related to a Sony Ericsson cell phone, you should know that the young tennis player was chosen to be the new Sony Ericsson brand ambassador.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

This is a very sleek and elegant device, designed to interact with the user in a manner that no other cell phone ever did. To give you an example, the T707 lights up each time you receive a call, while the light settings can be adjusted to each of your friends. This way, you will always know who’s trying to get in touch with you. But the best part is yet to come. If, for example, you want to end a call, the only thing you have to do is to just wave your hand over the display.

The phone measures 93 x 50 x 14.1 millimeters and weighs approximately 95 grams.

The Sony Ericsson T707 is expected to start selling in the second quarter of this year, but the price is still unknown for the moment. But we know that it will be available in three different colors: Lucid Blue, Mysterious Black and Spring Rose. Ah! And we also know that these Maria Sharapova photos will undoubtedly create sensation worldwide! No wonder!
