This summer Sprint is preparing to launch a range of new cell phones from different manufacturers and destined to various sectors, from rugged models to slim and stylish clamshells.
Though, these cell phones will have a common feature – the instant access to Nextel Direct Connect’s push-to-talk community.

We will focus on four of the phones that will be released first, and here we have the LX400 by LG with a built-in 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS tracking and noise reduction technology, the Z400 by Samsung featuring a rugged design, shock-resistant housing, built-in 1.3MP camera, Sprint Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, the Z700 by Samsung equipped with a 2MP camera, Sprint TV, Sprint Music Store, stereo Bluetooth, microSD memory expansion slot, and dedicated music keys, and Motorola V950, a resistant and modern clamshell coming with stereo Bluetooth, a built-in 2MP camera, GPS, Sprint Music Store access, dedicated music controls and Sprint TV.

Sanyo Pro 200

Sprint unveiled two brand new cell phones with push-to-talk capability and Sprint’s high-speed Mobile Broadband network access.

Sanyo Pro 200


Sanyo Pro 200 and Sanyo Pro 700 will be available for you later this month with Qualcomm's QChat technology, the EV-DO Rev. A support, Nextel Direct Connect one-to-one push-to-talk communication, Group Connect which allows users create groups and connect with up to 20 other Nextel Direct Connect users via QChat, and Call Alerts for sending repeated PTT Alert to other Nextel Direct Connect subscribers.

With both cell phone models you could browse the Internet, send emails, download media, read the latest news, and all these at very fast speeds via the Sprint’s Mobile Broadband Network that reaches over 242 million people, 15,325 cities and 1,452 airports.

Sanyo Pro 200


The Sanyo Pro 200 handset is a clamshell-style model measuring 4 x 1.7 x 0.7 inches at 3.4 ounces, sporting a main 1.2 x 1.5-inch display of 65K colors, with Bluetooth, email, and is powered by a standard 1050mAh Li-Ion battery which lasts up to 4.9 hours of talk time.

It will be available at a price of $49.99 with a 2-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate.

HTC Shift

HTC Shift is now available for pre-orders in United States, delivering a mobile computing experience featuring push email, Sprint Mobile Broadband Network support, Windows Vista operating system benefits and Origami Experience 2.0.

Powered by a Li-Po 2700 mAh battery HTC Shift allows you to operate it for up to three days while the SnapVUE technology gives you access to e-mails, calendar, SMS and contacts instantly conserving this way the power to extend the battery life.
The media player used by HTC Shift the Windows Media Player 11, which is the newest version of the software and the most improved.

The mobile companion from HTC sports a 7-inch touch-sensitive screen which displays the Windows Vista Business edition interface, and allows you to store up to 40GB of files, connect wirelessly using the 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi module, and transfer files wirelessly with the Bluetooth technology.

All these come in a 1.8 pound-mobile device available at $1,499 starting Monday.

With the occasion of ST. Patrick’s Day, Sprint customers have the chance to get their hands on the new Green Rumor by LG, named the official wireless phone of St. Patrick's Day.
They have chosen green so it might mean that it will bring only good rumors.

Besides that, Green Rumor comes with lots of cool features such as music player, no less than 4GB of storage capacity via a microSD card slot, GPS turn-by-turn driving direction, one-click traffic rerouting and over 10 million business listings, all at Sprint.

You have also a built-in 1.3MP camera with camcorder and 2x zoom, and the Sprint Family Locator service with which you will always know where the other family members are in a specific moment.

Green Rumor by LG


Rumor by LG is not an ordinary mobile phone, but its green color suggests that it uses environmental-friendly materials such as a recyclable package, and you can send it for the Sprint’s Project Connect program to recycle your old phone and receive the Rumor in turn.

Other features include Bluetooth, music player, Bluetooth printing, and 4.3 x 2 x 0.7 inched dimensions at 4.13 ounces.
Sprint provides it at $49.99 with a 2-year agreement and $30 instant rebate with $50 mail-in rebate.

Mogul by HTC at Sprint

Mogul by HTC pocket PC is available at Sprint with the EV-DO Rev. A support software available for download together with the instructions at www.america.htc.com/mogulupdate.
The handset is equipped with advanced wireless capabilities and the EV-DO Rev. A technology delivers fast data transfer rates and higher system capacity for storing large amounts of data.

The speeds reach 600 Kbps-1.4 Mbps for downloads, and 350-500 Kbps for uploads, permitting users to get large-mails in very short time.

HTC provides the software update with advanced GPS functionality and support for Sprint Navigation application, which has audio and visual turn-by-turn directions, over 10 million local listings and one-click traffic rerouting.
