Because on the market have been launched a lot of powerful smart phones, each being more impressive than other, we were asked to make a list of the best Verizon smart phones, a list which will help you to make the best decision. <-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
The BlackBerry Storm2 is one of the best Verizon smart phones, available at a price of $179. For those people who don’t know how a Storm2 looks we can say that this smart phone comes with a “candy-bar” case made of resistant plastic having 112.5 x 62.2 x 14 mm in dimensions and 160 grams in weight. When it comes to technology, the Storm2 is equipped with many powerful features. It comes with a 3.25 inches TFT capacitive touch screen with a native resolution of 360 x 480 pixels, an integrated 3.15 Megapixel camera armed with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging and image stabilization, 2 GB of internal memory with the possibility to extend it up to 16 GB with a microSD card. For connectivity, the Storm2 offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G networks.

Another impressive smart phone available through Verizon is the HTC Google Nexus One. This amazing smart phone is available at a price of $179 and it offers you the most common high-end features in a slim and light handset. One of the most attractive aspects of this HTC smart phone is the display. Being a 3.7 inches AMOLED capacitive touch screen, this display is capable of showing a native resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The Nexus One comes also with a powerful 5 Megapixel camera armed with autofocus, LED flash, smile detection and geo-tagging, 512 MB of internal memory (maximum 32GB thanks to the microSD card slot), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G networks. Anyway, having such a lot of features, this smart phone needs a powerful processor to keep up with all this performance. For that, the Nexus One comes with the most powerful processor used on a mobile phone ever: QualComm Snapdragon QSD82501 1 GHz.

For those people who have a limited budget, one of the best Verizon smart phones available at a low price is the Palm Pixi Plus. With a price of $99 this smart phone will amaze you with its performances. At a first look, the Palm Pixi Plus looks like a regular “candy-bar” handset having 111 x 54.9 x 10.9 mm in dimensions and 107.7 grams in weight. The Pixi Plus comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.63 inches TFT capacitive touch screen which has a native resolution of 320 x 400 pixels and support for 256K colors and an integrated 2 Megapixel camera armed with autofocus, LED flash and geo-tagging.

To make a great impression, this smart phone comes with 8 GB of internal memory, a powerful Qualcomm MSM7627 600 MHz processor and many connectivity features: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps. Anyway, there are a lot of other impressive Verizon smart phones which will impress you more than these three models, so you have only one thing to do: check and choose what you like.

The HTC Snap has already been customized by the most important American providers like Sprint (HTC Snap S511) and T-Mobile USA (Dash 3G), so it’s Verizon’s turn to give its customers the device. We have seen their very own version of the HTC Snap several times before and we all know that the name that it will have in the market is going to be HTC Ozone.

However, this time we have more information at our disposal, like the full list of features and specs. Being presented as a global handset, the Ozone runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, which makes it part of the smartphones family.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The new Verizon phone comes equipped with dual band 1xRTT/EV-DO Rev. A, quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, a SIM card provided with Global Support Kit, GPS functionality, Wi-Fi, and access to the Verizon Navigator service.

Other features refer to a 2.4 inches QVGA display which is not touch sensitive, a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, a full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, voice command, Mobile Broadband Connect and Visual Voicemail support, 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM, a microSDHC card slot for expandable memory of no more than 16GB.

The 1500 mAh battery provides up to 290 minutes of talk time and up to 324 hours of stand-by time. The new Verizon phone measures 4.5 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches and weighs 3.7 ounces. It seems that the Ozone will become available starting June 29th or July 13th. As for the price, rumors say that it will be of $49.99 after a mail-in rebate of $70, as long as the customer is willing to sign a contract agreement for two years.

The American people cannot complain about the cell phone market existent in their country, because there are many powerful carriers that are eager to satisfy their needs at a maximum level of performance. So it’s no wonder that June 5th is going to be a very busy day for the guys over Verizon who announced the introduction of LG enV Touch in their line of products.

But it seems there will be one more South Korean phone to hit the American market on the same day and it will be sold by Verizon also. The phone will be called LG Glance VX7100 and it won’t be much more impressive than the enV Touch, but Verizon sure hopes that it will bring a significant number of customers.

The slim candybar has a cover that looks like being very exquisite and expensive, even if it’s not made of expensive materials.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The features include a 2 inch QVGA display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, CDMA 1xRTT connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, and 2.5mm headset jack. It measures 4.31 x 1.87 x 0.38 millimeters and weighs 2.92 ounces, while the battery provides no more than 350 hours of stand-by time.

As for the price, you should know that the Samsung VX7100 is expected to be sold for approximately $50 ($49.99, to be more precise), but only if you’re willing to sign a 2 year contract agreement. The price is what you get after a $50 mail-in rebate. The retail price, on the other hand, is of $219.99.

According to Wikipedia, Verizon Navigator, also known as VZ Navigator, “is a GPS navigation software for Verizon Wireless phones that turns the phone into a GPS navigation device. It is a white label product based on Networks in Motion’s AtlasBook mobile navigation platform. It is compatible with many recent Verizon GPS phones, and available through Get It Now. It uses both GPS and cellular antennas through Assisted GPS”.

Because VZ Navigator has reached that point where it had to be somehow improved in order to be even more successful than it already is, the company decided to make it… global. Because you know that globalization is one of the main directions these days.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

Therefore, here we have the global version of the Verizon Navigator, which gives you the possibility to find the locations you’re looking for or to have an easy access to turn-by-turn directions not only in the North American continent, but also in the Western Europe.

The countries included are the following: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The customers who decide to use the software can choose between two default languages, English and Spanish, and two different ways of marking distances, miles or kilometers.

The VZ Navigator Global is available for an amount of $19.99 per month, but it will be found on the Storm 8530, the BlackBerry phone that you all know very well.

The Samsung Alias 2, which is also known as Samsung U750, was first seen in the last couple of days of March (this year, of course), but at that moment no one knew enough details about it, and the release date was no exception.

Rumors circulating the web these days say that the Samsung Alias 2 is expected to be introduced in the market on May 11, via Verizon Wireless. More than that, according to the source of these rumors, the guys over Phone Arena, the device is said to come, just like we all assumed in the first place, with the e-ink technology.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The Magic Key keypad of the Samsung Alias 2 is based on the electronic ink technology, which helps it convert the standard keypad, an alphanumeric one, into a full QWERTY one. It only depends on the way you open the flip phone. The different keypad can be seen in the pictures.

According to Verizon Wireless, the device comes with the following features: the QWERTY keypad, the Magic Key keypad with e-ink technology, a 2.6 QVGA display, a 2.0 megapixel camera, dedicated hot keys that give the user the chance to access the most used features by one-touch, Bluetooth, text messaging, voicemail, voice commands and games.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the price, but we promise to keep you informed.

It’s not bad. With each day that passes by, we are offered more and more cheap cell phone plans for all sorts of handsets that are meant to help us surpass these tough times. If you remember well, back in January FCC gave its approval to a Samsung phone, called Samsung Smooth U350. It took a couple of months until a carrier took it under its wing, but it’s better late than never. Not always, but the rule applies to this situation, that’s for sure.

The device can be purchased from Verizon Wireless, and the announcement comes after the introduction of another Samsung handset in the Verizon line of products, the Samsung Trance. According to Verizon, the Smooth “appeals to tweens, teens and parents alike”. And it might be true, because as you’ll be seeing shortly, it doesn’t come equipped with ground-breaking features, even if you can find the GPS technology and the VZ Navigator on board.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

If you are not looking for the most advanced mobile phone available right now on the market, then the following features might satisfy your needs: a 1.9 inches internal display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, a VGA photo camera, Bluetooth, voicemail, email and web browser. The Samsung Smooth measures 3.78 x 1.87 x 0.76 inches and weighs 3.35 ounces. As for the battery, it provides approximately 300 minutes of talk time and no more than 336 hours of stand-by time.

If you’re willing to sign a 2-year contract agreement, you can purchase the affordable flip phone for only $29.99. For signing a 1-year agreement, you’ll receive a price of $99.99, and if, on the other hand, you want to get it free of a contract, the price goes up to $199.99.

Because this is what everyone was expecting, Verizon Wireless made yesterday an official announcement that didn’t come as a surprise for anyone. To be more precise, the North American provider announced the availability of the Samsung Trance that is being sold starting today (meaning April 24th).

We told you about this Samsung cell phone a couple of weeks ago, when the guys over BGR had an information concerning the availability of the Trance. And it seems that the information was more than reliable, even if some of us preferred to wait for the official thing.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

As you probably remember, the Trance was presented by the provider as a “high-powered music phone” which is a consequence of the fact that it comes with the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower amp. And, as some of you know, this is designed to help the user enjoy a better audio quality.

As for the features, to refresh your memory a little bit, the phone comes with a 2.1 inch TFT display with 262k colors (the resolution is of 176 x 220 pixels), 1.3 megapixel camera, a navigation pad that is touch-sensitive, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, an internal memory of 1GB and a microSDHC card slot of no more than 16GB.

It measures approximately 4.0 x 1.97 x 0.55 inches and weighs 3.53 ounces, while the battery provides no more than 270 minutes of talk time and up to 300 hours of stand-by time.

Available in two color versions, Electric Red and Piano Black, the Samsung Trance will cost you no more than $49.99 if you’re willing to sign a two year contract agreement. This way you will get a $50 mail-in rebate.

When Verizon Wireless brought the HTC Touch Diamond in its line-up, everybody thought that Verizon will try its best in order to sell it under a very good price, so that people can afford having the very well known and highly appreciated device. Nevertheless, their efforts (if there were any) were futile, because the Touch Diamond is quite expensive, as it is being sold for $300. And no, you won’t get this price free of contract, you must be willing to sign an agreement with the North American carrier.

In the given context, the new Samsung Trance U490 seems to be just what the doctor ordered, because it’s not only fashionable, but also very cheap. Maybe it’s ridiculous to compare the two handsets we brought in discussion, but if what you are looking for is an affordable device, that is cool as far as the design is concerned, then you don’t have to think this twice. The Samsung Trance is perfect for you.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

This is a mid-end cell phone, a music centric one, that comes with the following features on board: a 2.1 inch display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, a 1.3 megapixel camera, the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio technology, Web browser, Email, Bluetooth connectivity, 3.5mm headset jack, the VZ Navigator service, an internal memory of 1GB (which is quite impressive) and a microSD card slot for expandable memory of no more than 16GB.

The guys over BGR said that the phone will come with cheap phone plans, as it will become available via Verizon Wireless starting April 24th and it will be sold for only $49.99, after a $50 mail-in rebate. But you’ll have to be willing to sign a 2 year contract agreement. On the other hand, if you don’t want to do this, you can have it for $219.99.

The BlackBerry Storm, the first touchscreen device ever built by Research in Motion (also known as RIM), was launched by Verizon Wireless in November 2008, as you probably know. Even if it is, undoubtedly, a very uncommon device, different from anything that you might have run into in the market, the Storm lacks a very important feature: Wi-Fi.

It’s kind of weird, because this is one feature that is characteristic to all modern smartphones that are available these days. But, great news, guys! It seems that the next generation of the BlackBerry Storm will come with what you’ve all been waiting for: the Wi-Fi.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

Unfortunately, this isn’t official, as the information comes from the guys over SlashGear, who said that “a source very close to the issue” made the confirmation of the fact that the American carrier has spectacular plans when it comes to some BlackBerry Storm updates. In other words, Verizon is preparing the second generation of the phone which is said to be brought in the spotlight later this year, in September to be more precise.

The same source added that Wi-Fi won’t be the only new feature to come on the board of the Storm 2, as the smartphone will also be equipped with other advanced features that weren’t unveiled. For the moment, the only thing we can do is to just wait, patiently, and see whether these are nothing but rumors.
