Starting March 1, Verizon will raise the current pricing of text messages from $.10 to $.15 per message for those that have chosen to not subscribe to a message plan.
Verizon will also charge $.15 for any international SMS messages received, a price increase of 5 cents, whether you are a message plan subscriber or not. Verizon has made it clear that pricing will remain the same for any international text messages sent, which are currently set at $.25 per message.

Here is the latest cell phone from LG, the
LG VX9400, which supports the MediaFLO (equivalent to the DMB, 1Seg or DVB-H). The phone also features a 1.3MP digicam, an MP3 player, and Bluetooth technology. It will be sold in the US via the Verizon network and will use the CDMA network.

Samsung W531 is dual-mode phone working in CDMA and capable of roaming in GSM networks (probably only European/Asian frequencies are supported). This makes a successor of the already old Samsung A790. It is clamshell phone with internal antenna and 1.3-megapixel camera. The SCH-W531 has already scored the FCC approval.

Verizon Wireless and
YouTube have signed a deal today that will allow Verizon to deliver video clips to cell phones. This seems to be the company's attempt to boost the use of VCAST media service, because out of 20 million
Verizon Wireless users that have VCAST compatible phones, only 10% use the service.
The only thing we do know is that the only way to view video clips on
YouTube from your phone is to pay a $15 monthly fee for VCAST. The service will be available starting December.
