Vertu adds more color to its Signature Diamond Collection luxury cell phones line and offers two new design options: Signature Rose Gold Pink Diamonds and Signature Rose Gold Pink Sapphires.
Starting with the idea of haute joaillerie and Grand Complication timepieces, Vertu created two more unique designed cell phones for luxury lovers.
The news consists of the addition of 18 Carat Rose Gold, pink diamonds, pink sapphires and rubies.

“Signature is a very special collection for Vertu,” says Chris Harris, Global Marketing Director. “It was our first handset and as such is where we continually strive to achieve the highest possible standards of design, craftsmanship and exclusivity. These two new additions, which include very rare gems such as pink diamonds and sapphires, are fitting additions to this iconic range”.

From the press release, Vertu Signature Rose Gold Pink Diamonds edition comes with 923 precious stones with an average of 7.2 carats on each phone.
According to the company, the pink diamonds mounted on the cell phone’s casing are very rare and can be found only in the Argyle mine in Australia.



Vertu Signature Rose Gold Pink Sapphires model has 385 stones of unique sizes and shapes, with an average of 2.1 carats on each phone.

Vertu cell phones measure 122 x 42 15.5 mm at about 200 grams, and feature advanced 20 mm handsfree loudspeaker, Yamaha polyphonic hardware, up to 9 hours of talk time, support for EGSM 900/1800/1900 networks, a high-resolution dynamic display, modem function, PC Sync software, email, Advanced Agenda, 1000 phone book entries, voice recorder, and multi-language support.

Vertu and Ferrari continue their partnership and announced the release of the Ferrari Ascent special edition Vertu phone. The phone will only be produced in 1947 units(1947 is the year Ferrari was founded) and has a stainless steel body partly clad in black and red leather, a “brake pedal” detail on the battery cover and Ferrari logo on the front. Tech specs are not known yet, but who cares! The Vertu Ferrari Ascent will be availble starting July 2007.

With your $310,000, you can purchase this Vertu Signature Cobra phone. The phone’s features are unknown. However, this luxurious handset is encrusted with precious rocks by French jeweler Boucheron. This gadget is made from one pear-cut diamond, one round white diamond, two emerald eyes and 439 rubies. A cheaper version is also available for “just” $115,000. Only 26 Signature Cobras will be made for the poor lucky rich fellas.
