Cheap new cell phones from Samsung

When it comes to full touchscreen cell phones, Samsung has nothing to complain about, as they did very well during the last year, especially since they released their flagship device, the F480. Threatened somehow by the competition, the South Korean company decided to announce two new full touchscreen mobile phones, both targeted at budget conscious people.
The two phones are the Samsung S5600 and the Samsung S5230 (the S5600 is on the left and, of course, the S5230 is on the right.

Now, the features list of the Samsung S5600 consists of a quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), UMTS 900/2100, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity, a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 16M color and a resolution of 240x320 pixels, a 3 megapixel camera with QVGA video recording capabilities at 15 frames per second, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0, an internal memory of 80MB and a microSD card slot of no more than 8GB.
The phone comes with a 1000mAh battery and measures approximately 102.6 x 55 x 12.9 millimeters.
The second handset is the 2.5G Samsung S5230 that looks very much like the first one, the main difference consisting of the screen, which is a little bit bigger. Therefore, the specs that you can find on the board of the S5230 include: a quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900), GPRS/EDGE connectivity, a 3.2 inch WQVGA toucscreen display with 262K colors and a resolution of 240x400 pixels, a 3 megapixel camera, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0, an internal memory of only 50MB and a microSD card support of no more than 8GB.
The phone measures 104 x 53 x 11.9 millimeters.
As for the availability, the new cheap new cell phones are aimed at the European market. The Samsung S5600 is expected to start shipping in May, while the Samsung S5230 will become available in April.
