Cheap prepaid cell phones from Cricket




If the American people had every reason to be sad because of the decision that Nokia took according the availability of the 8208, the new CDMA cellular phone released by the Finnish company and targeted to markets outside the United States, they should now be happy with the cheap prepaid cell phones that Cricket has prepared for all of you.

They are called Kyocera S1300 and Cricket A100, being two simple candybars sold by the American provider at affordable prices.

Kyocera S1300 comes with the following features: Mobile Web, which allows users to download ringtones and graphics and to browse the Web, Cricket games and applications, SMS, voice memos, speakerphone, HAC-compliance and TTY/TDD support for hearing-impaired. The device provides up to 200 minutes of talk time and up to 200 hours of stand-by time.

“The Kyocera S1300 is a sharp device that will be very popular for those who want power, style and simplicity in mobile communications”, said Jeff Toig, vice president of product marketing for Cricket. In addition, he said that “packed full of popular features for today’s mobile lifestyles, the S1300 offers great value and is an excellent way for customers to take advantage of Cricket’s unlimited plans”.



The Cricket A100, on the other hand, features an internal antenna, a 1.8 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 128x160 pixels and 65k colors, speech recognition for handsfree dialing, 2.5mm mono headset jack, a mini USB charging port, vibrate, speakerphone, Mobile Web, games and applications, and an internal memory of only 31MB. Measuring 4.44x1.94x0.55 inches and weighing approximately 2.47 ounces, the phone provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time and up to 250 minutes of stand-by time.

These two new cheap prepaid cell phones are available only through select Cricket stores and dealers in Chicago, retailing at a price of $89.99. However, both devices are expected to start selling soon in all Cricket markets.
