Cheap Samsung phone with dual-SIM functionality

The first time we had the chance to see the Samsung C5212, an affordable device equipped with a dual-SIM functionality, it was a couple of weeks ago when there were some images leaked on the Internet about eight new Samsung phones that made their appearance.
Back then vital information such as the price and the release date weren’t available to the large public, due to the fact that the announcement wasn’t an official one.

Things are different this time, because the Samsung C5212 was given the official treatment in the Russian market. This is a simple candybar that comes with dual-SIM card support that will be able to work on GSM 900 / 1800 frequencies (both of them). The best part is that you can use the two SIM cards simultaneously if you like.
As far as the features are concerned, this cheap Samsung phone comes with the following specs: a 2.2 inch TFT color display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels and 262k colors, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity with A2DP, a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capabilities, FM radio with RDS, an internal memory of only 64MB and microSD card slot of no more than 8GB for expandable memory. The battery, on the other hand, is a 1000 mAh one.

It’s true that the announcement was made for the Russian market, where the cheap Samsung phone will be available by the end of this month, but the C5212 is expected to start selling in other countries from the East-Europe, as well as in the Asian continent.
The Russian retail price was said to be somewhere around 6990 rubles (which means approximately $194). In the given context, the device will be the most affordable dual-SIM cell phone ever launched by Samsung.
