Eos, the new Palm cell phone via AT&T?
Posted by: Maria Mihale in AT&T, Palm
Every week is considered to be a cell phone manufacturer’s week, due to the fact that most rumors and stories in this area are somehow related to the specific company. This week, for example, seems to be dedicated to Palm, because the Sunnyvale-based company is in the centre of anyone’s attention these days.

And the culmination is this: there is another handset (the second smartphone, to be more precise) that is said to run on the WebOS. It is called Palm Eos and is only 10.6 millimeters this. But the most important thing of them all is that the smartphone is expected to become available via AT&T, but this isn’t yet official or confirmed.
Engadget is the source that brought us a picture of the so-called Palm Eos, but we don’t know for sure whether it’s true or not. Even if the picture is a little blurry, you can make a first impression about the handset.
The WebOS isn’t the only feature that the phone will come equipped with. It will also have a 2.63 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 400 pixels, a 2 megapixel camera with fixed focus, flash and video recording capabilities, assisted GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR, microUSB 2.0, music player, video player, SMS, MMS, an integrated IM client and an internal memory of 4GB.
The new Palm cell phone comes with a 1150 mAh battery that provides up to 4 hours of 3G talk time.
Rumors say that the price of the Palm Eos will be $349 before rebates. But it seems that the guys over MobileCrunch have more information at their disposal, as they said that the smartphone will be sold by AT&T for only $99 with a contract agreement.
