The Swiss designer Knalihs Athem will offer only 50 handsets included this limited edition, each of them coming with the official diamond grading report from a gemological lab.

Our previously described diamond cell phone, the £89,000 iPhone from Amosu, another top luxury cell phones designer, is the world’s most expensive iPhone, sporting 1179 dazzling 16.18 carat diamonds, but it’s not the 3G version with high-speed data transfers. Another impressive difference is the price itself, which is of about 18 times higher, and we are talking about thousands of dollars here.

Same as Amosu and others in the branch, Knalihs Athem collaborates with large companies like Apple, Nokia, Samsung and Sony, all famous manufacturers of high-tech gadgets.

We don’t know if the Eco version of the Samsung E200 bar phone will be ultra-slim measuring 9.9 mm thick like the standard model, but inside it features a 1.3MP digital camera capable of 4x zooming, photo effects, multi/mosaic shot, white balance, view finder and timer, while there is also MP3 player functionality, FM radio, video player, video recording capability, Java games, wallpapers for personalization, uTrack, voice memo, voice mail, flight mode, Bluetooth printing, Internet browser, and speakerphone.

The internal memory supports 20MB of user data and it is expandable via a microSD card.
It is a practical cell phone with 1,000 phone book entries, displaying call time, call costs, and the photo or video caller ID.
You can connect it to your computer via USB for file transfer, set a black/white user interface, and talk with your friends for up to 6.5 hours thanks to the standard 800mAh Li-Ion battery, which lasts 310 hours in standby mode.

The tri-band handset sports a 1.8-inch TFT LCD display with 65K colors. The standard black model is a mid-level cell phone available at prices around $150.

The built-in 1.3MP camera with 12x zooming and video recording capability is not a high-end digital model, but it’s enough to capture funny moments on the go and send them to your friends.

Sanyo thought also in your productivity so it added GPS turn-by-turn directions support, stereo Bluetooth, SMS Voice Messaging, voice-activated dialing, Restrict Lock that lets you set limits for the use of the cell phone, and applications like Calendar, Scheduler, To-Do List, world clock and many many others.
You can store up to 500 entries in the phone book totalizing 700 phone numbers, 1000 emails and 500 web sites.

Katana Eclipse measures 3.6 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches at 3.4 oz which makes it a pocketable handset fitting your palm or purse, with an internal 2-inch TFT LCD display of 65K colors and an external display of 1 inch in diagonal.
Its Li-Ion battery lasts up to 4.6 hours of talking until asking for a new recharge.

You can get it from Sprint at a price of $99.99 with a 2-year contract.

Other important functionalities of this mobile phone model include Sprint Mobile Broadband Network with fast transfers, dedicated music player keys, text inbox and menu controls from the external display of the clamshell.
You can download songs over-the-air via the Sprint Music Store or watch live TV with the Sprint TV feature enabled for video-on-demand, send files wirelessly with Bluetooth technology or add extra multimedia files using a microSD card.
On the go you could take some nice pictures or record videos to remember your trips, thanks to the built-in 2MP camera.

That’s not all. In addition, you can listen to your favorite tunes with the Sprint Radio, which offers access to over 150 channels, send video mails or picture mails, download Java applications and games, and set cool backgrounds among others.
In its recent press release, Sprint tells us also about the built-in GPS module of the Motorola VE20, which paired with the Sprint Navigation, provides audible turn-by-turn directions, one-click traffic rerouting and listing of over 10 million local entertainment places.

This cell phone was announced back in February and released in July, in a slider design with rounded edges, characteristic to Samsung models, measuring 102 x 48 x 14.2 mm at a weight of 84 grams.
Its display is a 2.1-inch TFT of 256K colors and a resolution of 240 x 320pixels. Talking about the phone’s design we can add that it has a sleek finish and a small form factor to allow you to keep it in your pocket while not slided out.

The new Samsung mobile phone retails at $400.

It is a low-cost entry-level handset available with a cheap cell phone service, meant to assist you in communicating with the others and that’s all. There is no Bluetooth, no built-in digital camera nor music player.

The mid-level cell phone has push-to-talk, Instant Messaging, MP3 player, Java, voice recognition, and basic applications including to-do lists, scheduler and world time.

Samsung SCH-U430 is also a flip-style cell phone, but with more advanced features than the previously described model. It has Bluetooth wireless connectivity, camera with self-timer, email functionality in addition to Instant Messaging, and in the rest it has the same elements as the Samsung U340.

The U340 is available for free with a 2-year contract and Verizon Wireless enables access to sports, news, traffic, weather forecast and horoscope via text alerts. The more advanced handset comes also with the VZ Navigator featuring audible turn-by-turn directions to let you find the best route to your destination. More than that, you can use this service to browser through millions of points-of-interest and get the best option for spending your free time alone or together with some friends in popular bars, restaurants and other social places.

In general I don’t like to write about unofficial news regarding upcoming cell phones because I prefer to have some press releases to count on, as they come with high resolution images as well, but this is an interesting information I don’t want you to miss though.

According to different sources providing information to US websites, European blogs and technology India reviews sites, it seems that HTC established a release period for its new smartphones running on the Android platform, and you might be able to get your hands on one starting September, some give a more precise date, on September 17.

After several successes one after another, including the release of HTC Touch, HTC Touch Diamond and the Dual Touch smartphones, the top mobile handsets manufacturer is expecting significant sales growth until the end of this year, culminating with the Android-based models.
The retail price would be of $399 while the 2-year contract with a telecommunication company would reduce the price up to $150, and this should happen via T-Mobile.

Codenamed HTC Dream, a nice and attractive name, the smartphone will provide 3G connectivity, a large touch-sensitive display for web browsing, sliding QWERTY keyboard, a built-in 3MP digital camera for high-resolution pictures captured on the go and video recording capability, as well as Google software including Gmail access.
In addition there will be wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi module built in, VoIP support, and many other cool functionalities.

With Google Android open platform, the HTC handset would provide an operating system and several useful mobile applications created in Java programming language, including Internet browser, custom 2D graphics library, 3D graphics based on the OpenGL ES 1.0 specification, SQLite for structured data storage, multimedia files support, GSM, Bluetooth, EDGE, 3G, WiFi, camera, GPS, compass, accelerometer sensor, email client, SMS program, calendar, maps, custom alerts, and personal data sharing.

One thing seems to get clear – if we won’t have it in stores in September, it’ll surely appear by the end of this year.

I am not sure if I would enjoy listening to a nice melody instead of a annoying beep sounds, because a melody would surely last longer and is based on several sounds that surely last longer than a beep.
